[Bilateral panuveitis in Whipple's disease: Case report].

How to Balance Prognostic Factors in Controlled Phase II Trials: Stratified Permuted Block Randomization or Minimization? An Analysis of Clinical Trials in Digestive Oncology.

Motor disorders related to oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy: long-term severity and impact on quality of life.

Purpose: Sensory chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is well-recognized, but motor CIPN remains understudied. This secondary analysis focused on the long-term severity and impact of motor disorders, their relation to sensory CIPN, neuropathic pain, psychological distress, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) after oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy in colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors.

Methods: Data from a multicenter, cross-sectional study were re-analyzed to explore motor CIPN among CRC survivors up to 5 years post-chemotherapy, with no longitudinal follow-up.

Efficacy and safety of targeted therapies in VEXAS syndrome: retrospective study from the FRENVEX.

Objectives: Vacuoles, E1 enzyme, X-linked, autoinflammatory and somatic (VEXAS) syndrome is an adult-onset autoinflammatory disease associated with somatic ubiquitin-like modifier-activating enzyme 1 (UBA1) mutations. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of targeted therapies.

Methods: Multicentre retrospective study including patients with genetically proven VEXAS syndrome who had received at least one targeted therapy.

Are serum C3 levels or kidney C3 deposits useful markers for predicting outcomes in patients with ANCA-associated vasculitis?

Introduction: Complement activation emerged as a key actor of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies-associated vasculitis (AAV). Whether serum levels of C3 (sC3) or C3 kidney deposition may help to refine the prognosis of AAV remains elusive.

Methods: Retrospective multicentric study that included 154 patients with a first flare of AAV and sC3 (n = 143) or C3 kidney staining (n = 95) available at diagnosis.

ANCA-associated scleritis: impact of ANCA on presentation, response to therapy and outcome.

Objectives: To describe the characteristics, treatment and outcome of isolated ANCA-associated scleritis at diagnosis compared with idiopathic scleritis with negative ANCA tests.

Methods: This retrospective multicentre case-control study was performed within the French Vasculitis Study Group (FVSG) network and in three French tertiary ophthalmologic centres. Data from patients with scleritis without any systemic manifestation and with positive ANCA results were compared with those of a control group of patients with idiopathic scleritis with negative ANCA tests.

Real-life use of apremilast for the treatment of psoriasis in patients with oncological comorbidities: a retrospective descriptive multicentre study in France.

G-CSF filgrastim biosimilar-Sandoz reduces the incidence of febrile neutropenia in patients receiving chemotherapy regimens with rest periods not exceeding 14 days: A French, multicenter, prospective, non-interventional study.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to describe filgrastim biosimilar-Sandoz modalities of use in patients receiving cytotoxic chemotherapy regimens with a rest period of ≤14 days and to investigate the incidence of febrile neutropenia (FN) in routine clinical practice.

Methods: This was a French, multicenter, prospective and descriptive, non-interventional study including patients with breast, lung, gastrointestinal cancer or a lymphoma initiating filgrastim biosimilar-Sandoz treatment and in the context of cytotoxic chemotherapy with a rest period not exceeding 14 days. Data were collected during two routine clinical visits on the modalities of use of filgrastim biosimilar-Sandoz, on the incidence of neutropenia events and on adverse events.

Background: Passive leg raising-induced changes in cardiac index can be used to predict fluid responsiveness. We investigated whether passive leg raising-induced changes in pulse pressure variation (ΔPPV) can also predict fluid responsiveness in mechanically ventilated patients.

Methods: In this multicentre prospective observational study, we included 270 critically ill patients on mechanical ventilation in whom volume expansion was indicated because of acute circulatory failure.

[Current status of persistent chronic hyperkalaemia in France: An expert consensus based on a Delphi approach].

Introduction: In France, no consensus document on the management of persistent hyperkalaemia is currently available. Variability in clinical practices has been observed.

Methods: A consensus statement on the definition and the management of persistent hyperkalaemia was developed by a Delphi panel of French nephrologists between December 2019 (26 voting participants among 40 invited panellists in first round) and June 2020 (20 voting participants among 26 panellists in second round).

Encorafenib plus cetuximab treatment in BRAF V600E-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer patients pre-treated with an anti-EGFR: An AGEO-GONO case series.

Background: Encorafenib plus cetuximab is efficient in anti-EGFR-naïve patients with BRAF mutated (BRAFm) metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). No data are available concerning the efficacy of BRAF inhibitors associated with anti-EGFRs (B + E) in patients previously treated with an anti-EGFR agent.

Methods: We retrospectively collected a series of patients with BRAFm mCRC treated with B + E after previous anti-EGFR treatment, in 14 centers.

Colorectal Cancer Survivors Suffering From Sensory Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy Are Not a Homogenous Group: Secondary Analysis of Patients' Profiles With Oxaliplatin-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy.

Oxaliplatin, a pivotal drug in the management of colorectal cancer, causes chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in a third of cancer survivors. Based on a previous cross-sectional study assessing oxaliplatin-related sensory CIPN in colorectal cancer survivors, a secondary analysis was designed to explore the possibility that different clusters of patients may co-exist among a cohort of patients with oxaliplatin-related CIPN. Other objectives were to characterize these clusters considering CIPN severity, anxiety, depression, health-related quality of life (HRQOL), patients' characteristics and oxaliplatin treatments.

ANCA-Negative Pauci-immune Necrotizing Glomerulonephritis: A Case Series and a New Clinical Classification.

Rationale & Objective: Pauci-immune necrotizing glomerulonephritis (PING) is usually associated with the presence of antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA). However, a minority (2%-3%) of patients with PING do not have detectable ANCA. We assessed the clinical spectrum and outcome of patients with ANCA-negative PING.

Long-Term Prevalence of Sensory Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy for 5 Years after Adjuvant FOLFOX Chemotherapy to Treat Colorectal Cancer: A Multicenter Cross-Sectional Study.

(1) Background: Oxaliplatin is among the most neurotoxic anticancer drugs. Little data are available on the long-term prevalence and consequences of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), even though the third largest population of cancer survivors is made up of survivors of colorectal cancer. (2) Methods: A multicenter, cross-sectional study was conducted in 16 French centers to assess the prevalence of CIPN, as well as its consequences (neuropathic pain, anxiety, depression, and quality of life) in cancer survivors during the 5 years after the end of adjuvant oxaliplatin chemotherapy.

Safety of P28GST, a Protein Derived from a Schistosome Helminth Parasite, in Patients with Crohn's Disease: A Pilot Study (ACROHNEM).

Despite the development of novel therapies, inflammatory bowel diseases remain an innovative treatment challenge. Helminth therapy is a new promising approach, and a key issue is the identification of helminth-derived anti-inflammatory mediators. P28 glutathione-S-transferase (P28GST), a protein derived from schistosomes, a trematode parasitic helminth, was shown to reduce intestinal inflammation in experimental colitis by down-regulating the Th1/Th17 response.

Autologous hematopoietic stem-cell transplant in small-sized and peripheral centers: a 10-year experiment.

Background: Along with continuing changes in therapeutic modalities, indications of autologous hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (ASCT) have been emerging and changing considerably, especially in the era of targeted therapy and small molecule inhibitors. Patients treated with novel agents tend to have a longer survival period, thus eventually reaching higher ages at ASCT. Herein, and to address the question of ASCT outcomes in small, community-based, peripheral French centers, we report the 10-year follow-up results of 136 patients who received ASCT in our eight-bed ASCT unit, situated in an urban area.

[Graft reinjection: Guidelines from the Francophone Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (SFGM-TC)].

JACIE (Joint Accreditation Committee ISTC EBMT) regulations and standards impose a quality and safety requirement for graft reinjection by nurses. However, the standards do not provide a step-by-step graft reinjection procedure. Because of high medical team turnover, the opening of new transplant centers, and continual questions from colleagues trying to decipher the JACIE standards, the need for a specific procedure goes without saying.
