Mycobacterium marinum is an atypical and non-tuberculosis mycobacterium that mainly leads to cutaneous infections. Infections occur through inoculation of the organism through injury to the skin in the presence of contaminated water or fish. The patient often presents with unspecific symptoms and the evolution, in the absence of adequate treatment, is characterized by an expansion of the cutaneous lesion and a spread to deep structures.

The palmar fracture-dislocation of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint of fingers is an uncommon injury. We report a complex form in a 16-year old teenager, associating a palmar fracture-dislocation and a fracture of the base of the middle phalanx with the dorsal fragment dislocated between the neck of the proximal phalange and the palmar plate. The management was surgical with open reduction and fixation of the fragments by K-wires and temporary PIP arthrorisis.

Objectives: The authors report their results on the treatment of scaphoid non-unions without osteoarthritis or necrosis, by anterior nonvascularized bone graft.

Patients And Methods: Forty-seven patients treated between 1988 and 2003 were analysed with a mean follow-up of 74 months. There were 19 non-unions without carpal instability (IIA) and 28 with carpal instability (IIB).

Bizarre parosteal osteochondromatous proliferation, or Nora's tumor, is an uncommon lesion, involving mostly tubular bones of hands and feet, arising from the cortical surface. It must be distinguishable from chondrosarcoma, parosteal osteosarcoma and florid reactive periostitis. It is a benign lesion, characterized by a proliferation of chondroid, bony and fibrous tissues.

[Glomus tumor of forearm: a case report].
