Article Synopsis
  • The shape and size of a neuron's dendritic arbor are influenced by the interactions between dendrites themselves.
  • Recent studies on the developing sensory system of Drosophila (fruit flies) have provided new insights into these governing rules.
  • Understanding these interactions could help explain how neural connections are formed and maintained during development.
