Background: FGFR2/3, MTAP and ERBB2 genomic alterations have treatment targets in advanced urothelial carcinoma (aUC). These alterations may affect tumor microenvironment and outcomes with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in aUC.

Patients And Methods: We identified patients with available genomic data in our multi-institution cohort of patients with aUC treated with ICI.

Introduction: We live in the era of information technology (IT) innovations in the health sector, this has led to the appropriation of new organizational models which are profoundly changing the practice of medicine. Our study aims to determine the challenges of new digital technologies in the Moroccan health system, the case of the cardiology department - B - of the Ibn Sina University Hospital Center.

Materials And Methods: This is a single-center observational descriptive-analytical study carried out at the level of the cardiology department - B- for 6 months, from September 1, 2022.

Background And Aims: The cosmopolitan Botrychium lunaria group belong to the most species rich genus of the family Ophioglossaceae and was considered to consist of two species until molecular studies in North America and northern Europe led to the recognition of multiple new taxa. Recently, additional genetic lineages were found scattered in Europe, emphasizing our poor understanding of the global diversity of the B. lunaria group, while the processes involved in the diversification of the group remain unexplored.

Epcoritamab plus GemOx in transplant-ineligible relapsed/refractory DLBCL: results from the EPCORE NHL-2 trial.

Patients with relapsed or refractory (R/R) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) have poor outcomes. Gemcitabine + oxaliplatin (GemOx) with rituximab, a standard salvage therapy, yields complete response (CR) rates of approximately 30% and median overall survival (OS) of 10-13 months. Communities conquering COVID-19: Black and Latinx community perspectives on the impact of COVID-19 in regions of Michigan hardest hit by the pandemic.

Introduction: In Michigan, the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted Black and Latinx communities. These communities experienced higher rates of exposure, hospitalizations, and deaths compared to Whites. We examine the impact of the pandemic and reasons for the higher burden on communities of color from the perspectives of Black and Latinx community members across four Michigan counties and discuss recommendations to better prepare for future public health emergencies.

Trauma-Induced Thoracic Stent Graft Migration and Dissecting Aneurysm Rupture.

The mysterious case of missing lymphocytes: a cautionary tale of inter-institutional variability in outcomes of lung dissociation protocols.

Rigor and reproducibility are vital to scientific advancement. It is unclear whether a protocol optimized for tissue dissociation in one institution performs well universally. Here, we share our brand-new lab's experience with inter-institutional variability that led to the discovery that a protocol optimized for murine lung dissociation at Boston University (BU) fails to reproduce similar CD4 T cell, CD8 T cell, and B cell outcomes at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (U-M).

Integrating machine learning and structural dynamics to explore B-cell lymphoma-2 inhibitors for chronic lymphocytic leukemia therapy.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a malignancy caused by the overexpression of the anti-apoptotic protein B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2), making it a critical therapeutic target. This study integrates computational screening, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics to identify and validate novel BCL-2 inhibitors from the ChEMBL database. Starting with 836 BCL-2 inhibitors, we performed ADME and Lipinski's Rule of Five (RO5) filtering, clustering, maximum common substructure (MCS) analysis, and machine learning models (Random Forest, SVM, and ANN), yielding a refined set of 124 compounds.

Implementation of a Checklist Tool to Improve Understanding of Rapid Response Team Protocols.

Rapid response teams (RRT) are multidisciplinary teams activated to assess patients outside of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and require a shared framework for approaching a deteriorating patient. In this project, we aimed to improve the understanding of RRT protocols through the development and implementation of the RRT Huddle Checklist. This quality improvement project took place from 2019 to 2022.

Sexual dimorphism in lung transcriptomic adaptations in fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.

Current fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) studies primarily focus on alcohol's actions on the fetal brain although respiratory infections are a leading cause of morbidity/mortality in newborns. The limited studies examining the pulmonary adaptations in FASD demonstrate decreased surfactant protein A and alveolar macrophage phagocytosis, impaired differentiation, and increased risk of Group B streptococcal pneumonia with no study examining sexual dimorphism in adaptations. We hypothesized that developmental alcohol exposure in pregnancy will lead to sexually dimorphic fetal lung morphological and immune adaptations.

The prognostic role of cardiac and inflammatory biomarkers in extubation failure in patients with COVID-19 acute respiratory distress syndrome.

Background: Extubation failure is associated with an increased morbidity, emphasizing the need to identify factors to further optimize extubation practices. The role of biomarkers in the prediction of extubation failure is currently limited. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of cardiac (N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), High-sensitivity Troponin T (Hs-TnT)) and inflammatory biomarkers (Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and Procalcitonin (PCT)) for extubation failure in patients with COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (C-ARDS).

Background: Disseminated mycobacterium poses a significant risk for patients with NEMO deficiency. Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) corrects the NEMO defect in hematopoietic cells thus treating the immunodeficiency.

Methods: We present a patient with NEMO deficiency who successfully underwent HSCT despite a disseminated Mycobacterium szulgai infection.

Introduction: Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) is closely associated with the host microbiome. While recent evidence suggests that shifts in specific bacterial taxa are associated with response to UV-B, a form of non-ionizing radiation, the impact of ionizing radiation (IR) has not been investigated.

Methods: 16S rRNA and gene amplicon sequencing were performed on DNA extracted from swabs of lesional/non-lesional skin of 12 CTCL patients before/after TSEBT or local IR and from 25 matched healthy controls (HC).

In this paper we investigate the Fourier coefficients of harmonic Maass forms of negative half-integral weight. We relate the algebraicity of these coefficients to the algebraicity of the coefficients of certain canonical meromorphic modular forms of positive even weight with poles at Heegner divisors. Moreover, we give an explicit formula for the coefficients of harmonic Maass forms in terms of periods of certain meromorphic modular forms with algebraic coefficients.
