Acne is a chronic multifactorial skin disease with a high prevalence among adolescents. The therapeutic approach for mild to moderate papulopustular acne includes the use of systemic tetracycline. Increased risk of antibiotic resistance necessitates research into alternative therapeutic approaches, such as zinc sulphate.
