Background: Donepezil in combination with memantine is a widely used clinical therapy for moderate to severe dementia. However, real-world population data on the long-term safety of donepezil in combination with memantine are incomplete and variable. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze the adverse events (AEs) of donepezil in combination with memantine according to US Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) data to provide evidence for the safety monitoring of this therapy.

Qingdu Fang (QDF) is a traditional Chinese herbal formula with remarkable clinical effect in the treatment of HR-HPV, but its mechanism remains unclear. In this study, UPLC-QTOF-MS was used to detect its components, network pharmacology was used to explore the traditional Chinese medicine monomers and their related targets for the treatment of HR-HPV in QDF. Molecular docking and experiments were performed to verify the results.

Background: Insomnia is highly prevalent in stroke patients; however, there is no ideal intervention. This systematic review examined the effect and safety of Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) and acupuncture on sleep in adults with stroke.
Methods: Six databases were searched from inception to June 2023 to identify randomised controlled trials (RCTs).
Background: Herpes zoster (HZ) is one of the most common skin diseases caused by viruses. Facial HZ develops when the varicella-zoster virus affects the trigeminal nerve, and alveolar osteonecrosis is a rare complication. However, the exact pathogenesis of postherpetic alveolar osteonecrosis remains unclear.

Background: Herpes zoster (HZ) is a common medical condition accompanied by several distressing symptoms, including acute pain. Pien Tze Huang (PZH) is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with numerous pharmacological effects, including antiviral properties, neuroprotection, and immunity regulation.
Purpose: To investigate the efficacy and safety of PZH capsules in patients with HZ.
Unlabelled: Neuroblastoma (NB) is a type of neuroectodermal tumor that originates from primitive sympathetic ganglion cells. Although many risk factors contributing to the occurrence of NB have been reported in recent years, the role of the gut microbiota in its development remains unclear. A bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was conducted to elucidate the causal relationship between the gut microbiota and NB.

Aims: This study aimed to investigate the association between the gut microbiota and the risk of stroke.
Methods: Faecal samples from 60 participants in South China, including 45 individuals with risk factors for stroke and 15 healthy controls, were collected and subjected to 16S rRNA sequencing. A bioinformatics analysis was performed to characterise the gut microbial diversity and taxonomic compositions at different risk levels (low, moderate, and high) of stroke.

Ankle sprains can lead to chronic lateral ankle instability caused by an injured anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL), and surgery is often required when conservative treatments fail. BROSTROM surgery is considered the gold standard and has a definite curative effect. Advancements in arthroscopic surgery and improvements in implanted anchors have led to an increase in ATFL repairs using arthroscopic surgery.

Purpose: Considering the adverse effects of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and opioids for treating osteoarthritis (OA), development of drugs that are more effective and better tolerated than existing treatments is urgently needed. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of anti-nerve growth factor (NGF) monoclonal antibodies vs active comparator therapy, such as NSAIDs and oxycodone, in treating hip or knee OA.
Methods: Databases were comprehensively searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published before January 2022.
