Introduction/aims: Upper limb paralysis is arguably the most limiting consequence of cervical spinal cord injury (cSCI). There is limited knowledge regarding the early structural changes of muscles implicated in grasp/pinch function and upper extremity nerve transfer surgeries. We evaluated: (1) muscle size and echo intensity (EI) in subacute cSCI (2-6 months) and (2) the influence of lower motor neuron (LMN) damage on these ultrasound parameters.

This study aims to analyze the accuracy of human reviewers in identifying scientific abstracts generated by ChatGPT compared to the original abstracts. Total autologous reconstruction of the right and left ventricular outflow tracts: the case for the modified Ross-Ozaki procedure.

The Ross procedure continues to be the best procedure to address unrepairable aortic valve pathology, especially in young adults. The Achilles heel of this procedure has been aortic root dilation and the potential need for a reoperation that may be associated with slightly increased risks in addition to the need for intervention on the pulmonary outflow tract. Modifying the Ross procedure by autograft inclusion inside a Dacron graft seems to have the potential advantage of stabilizing the autograft diameter, which may be associated with improved durability and decrease the need for future intervention.

Mapping between the source and target face boundaries with constituent pixels is explored by two approaches: cubic spline interpolation and ordinary differential equation (ODE) using Hermite interpolation.

Orbital mesenchymal chondrosarcoma: a case report.

Extraskeletal orbital mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is an extremely rare and highly aggressive tumor. We herein report a case involving a woman in her early 20s diagnosed with orbital mesenchymal chondrosarcoma. This case report aims to increase recognition and understanding of this condition.

Arthroscopic treatment of scaphoid nonunion with debridement and cancellous bone grafting before or after K-wire fixation.

We compared the outcomes of two groups of patients with scaphoid nonunion treated with arthroscopic cancellous bone grafting. In group 1, K-wires were introduced beforehand and in group 2 after debridement and packing bone grafts in the nonunion site.
