Background: The continuum management of diabetes remains under-evaluated in China. This study aimed to estimate the proportions of diabetes adults at each stage of the cascade of care framework in Shandong, China.

Methods: We conducted a secondary analysis using the 2018 China Adult Chronic Disease and Nutrition Surveillance (CACDNS) data in Shandong.

Introduction: The intestinal microbiota plays a crucial role in health and disease. This study aimed to assess the composition and functional diversity of the intestinal microbiota in donkeys and cows by examining samples collected from different segments of the digestive tract using two distinct techniques: direct swab sampling and faecal sampling.

Results: In this study, we investigated and compared the effects of multiple factors on the composition and function of the intestinal microbial community.

Background: Conventional systemic corticosteroid therapy for bullous pemphigoid (BP) has been challenged due to severe adverse events. Dupilumab has emerged as an alternative therapeutical option of BP patients.

Galectin-3 in metabolic disorders: mechanisms and therapeutic potential.

Galectin-3 (Gal3), a β-galactoside-binding lectin, is expressed predominantly in immunological and inflammatory cells. Gal3 expression is elevated in metabolic diseases, including obesity, diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and plays an important role in the progression of these diseases. In this review, we summarize the structure and post-translational modifications of Gal3 and the cellular functions of Gal3 according to its subcellular localization.

Methods And Results: Among 595 breast carcinomas with diffuse synaptophysin (Syn) or chromogranin A (CgA) immunostaining (≥ 90%), 197 eligible cases were selected, including 69 NETs, 123 invasive breast carcinomas of no special type (IBC-NSTs) and five neuroendocrine carcinomas (NECs).

Methods: We reviewed the National Mortality Surveillance System of China and retrieved death records attributable to CHD from 2013 to 2021.

Natural killer (NK) cells are cytotoxic lymphocytes of the innate immune system capable of killing virus-infected cells and/or cancer cells. The commonly used NK cells for therapeutic applications include primary NK cells and immortalized NK cell lines. However, primary NK cell therapy faces limitations due to its restricted proliferation capacity and challenges in stable storage.

Lung cancer associated with cystic airspaces (LCCA) is a rare subtype of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), accounting for 1-4% of cases. LCCA is characterized by the presence of cystic airspaces within or at the periphery of the tumor on imaging. LCCA poses significant clinical challenges due to its high risk of misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis, often leading to a worse prognosis compared to other forms of lung cancer.

Aims: This study aimed to evaluate image quality, myocardial perfusion, and diagnostic performance of a novel [F]F-labeled PET tracer, XTR004 PET, myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) compared with [N]Ammonia (NH) PET MPI.

Methods And Results: Forty-seven patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease (CAD) were prospectively enrolled to undergo one-day rest/ATP-stress XTR004 and NH electrocardiograph-gated PET imaging within 2 weeks. Among them, twenty-six patients underwent invasive coronary angiography (ICA), and nineteen were identified with flow-limited CAD (stenosis ≥ 70%).
