High-dose methotrexate (HD-MTX) is a widely used chemotherapy regimen for hematologic malignancies such as lymphomas and acute lymphoblastic leukemia, but its use can lead to adverse effects, including acute kidney injury (AKI), impaired liver function, and mucositis, causing extended hospital stays and delayed subsequent chemotherapy. Our study aimed to investigate the predictive factors for renal toxicities associated with HD-MTX in Thai patients undergoing treatment for hematologic malignancies. We enrolled 80 patients who underwent MTX-containing regimens, analyzing 132 chemotherapy cycles.

In this retrospective cohort study, COVID-19 patients with confirmed real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction assay (RT-PCR) test results between February 2020 and August 2021 were investigated. Initial blood cell counts, chest radiograph, and the status of oxygenation support used within 24 h were collected (n = 290; mean age, 45 ± 19 years; 125 men).

Purpose: This study evaluated the experiences and needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other sexual and gender minorities (LGBTQ+) attending medical schools in Thailand.

Method: Medical students from 4 medical schools in Thailand were recruited in 2022. LGBTQ+ participants were selected via purposive sampling and invited for semistructured interviews.

Integrating technology into a successful apomorphine delivery program in Thailand: a 10-year journey of achievements with a five-motto concept.

Introduction: Apomorphine, a potent dopamine agonist, is a therapeutic option for patients with Parkinson's disease and motor fluctuations. However, the adoption of and adherence to this therapy have been limited by the need for complex delivery devices and specialized care as well as resource consumption, posing challenges for new physicians. Thailand is a unique example of a developing nation that has successfully implemented and continued the use of this therapy by employing cooperative technology that has dramatically enhanced apomorphine delivery services.

Higher contact pressure of the lateral tibiofemoral joint in lateral extra-articular tenodesis with tensioned graft in external rotation than in neutral rotation: A biomechanical study.

Objective: To determine the mean contact pressure, peak contact pressure, and mean contact area of the lateral tibiofemoral joint in lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) with tension on the graft in tibial neutral and external rotation.

Methods: A total of eight Thiel-embalmed cadaveric knees were prepared and divided into two groups (4 knees in each group): the LET-NR group (lateral extra-articular tenodesis tension in neutral rotation) and (2) the LET-ER group (lateral extra-articular tenodesis tension in external rotation). Each knee was prepared according to the corresponding technique.

Introduction: An outbreak of exogenous thyrotoxicosis is an uncommon cause of thyrotoxicosis. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics and outcomes of exogenous thyrotoxicosis and electrolyte imbalance in a prison during an outbreak of exogenous thyrotoxicosis in the Phitsanulok, Thailand prison.

Methods: This study collected cross-sectional data during an outbreak of thyrotoxicosis among inmates at Phitsanulok prison between 29 December 2019 and 17 January 2020.

Enhanced glucose uptake in insulin-sensitive tissues is one of the therapeutic strategies to ameliorate hyperglycemia and maintain glucose homeostasis in type 2 diabetes. This study disclosed the role of fungal depsidones in glucose uptake and the underlying mechanism in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Depsidones, including nidulin, nornidulin, and unguinol, isolated from , stimulate glucose uptake in adipocytes.

Hip External Rotation Decreases Ischiofemoral Distance: A Positive Correlation Between Cadaveric and Fluoroscopic Studies.

Purpose: To determine the effect of hip external rotation or extension/adduction on minimizing the ischiofemoral distance (IFD) and assess the correlation between cadaveric and fluoroscopic IFD measurements in different hip positions.

Methods: This cadaveric study involved 33 hip joints from 17 embalmed cadavers. IFD, the distance between the lesser trochanter and lateral ischium, was measured in different hip positions: neutral, external rotation at 30°, and external rotation at 60° with the hip in both neutral extension and adduction as well as 10° hip extension and 10° hip adduction.

: To determine the effectiveness of the Amblyopia Treatment Chulalongkorn University (ATCU) application in improving compliance to occlusion therapy in amblyopic children. : We developed a smartphone application called Amblyopia Treatment Chulalongkorn University (ATCU), which includes education, patching calendar, mini-games, and notifications, offering caregivers a comprehensive tool to enhance amblyopia treatment adherence through informative content, interactive features, and personalized reminders. Children aged 4-12 years with strabismic, anisometropic, deprivation, or mixed-type amblyopia were recruited and randomly assigned to either use ATCU application to facilitate eye patching (group A) or receive standard care (group B).
