Transient corneal ectasia after phacoemulsification in an eye with femtosecond intrastromal presbyopic treatment.

We report a case of transient corneal ectasia developed after phacoemulsification in an eye previously treated with INTRACOR. There was a myopic refractive surprise after cataract surgery. Corneal tomography showed an increase in keratometry and elevation profile compared with preoperative examination.

Methods: This was a prospective interventional study in 25 eyes of 24 Asian patients with keratoconus, where 10 eyes in group 1 had mild to moderate keratoconus with the steepest keratometry reading (Kmax) < 58 diopters (D), and 15 eyes in group 2 had advanced keratoconus with Kmax ≥ 58.0 D.

This study evaluated B-scan ultrasound as a technique for assessing glaucoma drainage device (GDD) patency/function in refractory pediatric glaucoma. Purpose: To report the mid-term outcomes of graft suturing in a patient with lenticule dislocation after Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK).

Case Report: A 78-year old woman was found to have graft dislocation involving the nasal half of the cornea after uneventful DSAEK. Graft repositioning, refilling the anterior chamber with air, and placement of four full-thickness 10/0 nylon sutures over the detached area were performed two weeks after the initial surgery.

Encapsulated triamcinolone cyst after subtenon injection.

The authors report the formation of a subtenon cyst following subtenon triamcinolone injection for chronic recurrent uveitis in Behçet's disease. The steroid was inadvertently placed superficially in the anterior subtenon space and was encapsulated eventually to present as a subtenon cyst. The episode of uveitis recurrence, which did not regress, required treatment with a repeat posterior subtenon injection 2 months later.
