The surface passivation with the heterostructure of the 2D/3D stack has been widely used for boosting the efficiency of n-i-p perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the disordered quantum well width distribution of 2D perovskites leads to energy landscape inhomogeneity and crystalline instability, which limits the further development of n-i-p PSCs. Here, a versatile approach, ligand-mediated surface passivation, was developed to produce a phase-pure 2D perovskite passivation layer with a homogeneous energy landscape by dual-ligand codeposition.

Background: The practice of grandparents taking on the role of primary caregivers for their grandchildren is widespread across both urban and rural regions in China. Yet, the existing body of research offered limited clarity on how grandparenting associated with nutrition as well as health of children aged 0-3 years, particularly in terms of potential differences between urban and rural areas in China. Therefore, this study aims to delve into the association between grandparenting and nutrition as well as health status of children aged 0-3 and its urban-rural differences in China.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the division of responsibilities between mothers and fathers for healthcare-related tasks involving their children, revealing significant gender differences in these roles.
  • Data was collected from over 1,100 parents, showing that mothers are primarily responsible for scheduling appointments and taking children to healthcare visits, often more than twice as likely as fathers.
  • The findings suggest that pediatricians can encourage greater involvement from fathers in these tasks, potentially helping to shift societal norms regarding healthcare responsibilities in families.

Health financing for children and youth comes mainly from commercial sources (especially, a parent's employer-sponsored insurance) and public sources (especially, Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Plan [CHIP]). These 2 sources serve populations that differ in race and ethnicity. This inherent segregation perpetuates a system of disparities in health and health care.

Program evaluation for interventions aimed at enhancing diversity can fall short when the evaluation unintentionally reifies the exclusion of multiple marginalized student experiences. The present study presents a Quantitative Critical Race Theory (QuantCrit) approach to program evaluation to understand outcomes for Women of Color undergraduates involved in a national biomedical training program called the Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) initiative. Using longitudinal data, we examined the impact of participation in the BUILD Scholars programs and BUILD-developed novel biomedical curriculum on undergraduate's research self-efficacy.
