Exploring digital health: a qualitative study on adults' experiences with health apps and wearables.

Purpose: From an active ageing perspective, investigating how adults use apps and wearables for health purposes might improve well-being strategies supported by widely adopted technologies. This study investigated adults' perceptions of using apps and wearables for health purposes.

Methods: A qualitative interview study was conducted.

Exposure to physical, sexual and emotional violence and health-related factors among the adult population in the Faroe Islands.

Aims: The Faroe Islands is a small homogenous archipelago located in the North Atlantic Ocean with no prior study of violence among adults. In an adult population-based sample, we studied physical, sexual and emotional violence and health and socio-economic determinants.

Methods: A population-based cross-sectional survey conducted between November 2020 and February 2021 was based on a newly initiated questionnaire that included 1068 randomly selected individuals aged 18-75.

Immune checkpoint inhibitor-associated diabetic ketoacidosis and insulin-dependent diabetes: a case report.

Background: Immunotherapy, including the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors such as nivolumab, is increasingly common in cancer treatment and can lead to various immune-related adverse effects, including rare cases of diabetic ketoacidosis. This case report highlights an unique instance of nivolumab-induced diabetic ketoacidosis in a patient without prior history of diabetes, emphasizing the importance of careful monitoring even in those without traditional risk factors.

Case Presentation: We report a case of a 70-year-old Caucasian male with metastatic esophageal adenocarcinoma who developed diabetic ketoacidosis 3 weeks after stopping nivolumab therapy.

Methane (CH) processes and fluxes have been widely investigated in low-latitude tropical wetlands and high-latitude boreal peatlands. In the mid-latitude Mongolia Plateau, however, CH processes and fluxes have been less studied, particularly in riverine wetlands. In this study, in situ experiments were conducted in the riverine sandy wetlands of the Mongolia Plateau to gain a better understanding of CH emissions and their influencing mechanisms.
