Problem: Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) efforts have accelerated over the past several years, without a traditional guidebook that other missions often have. To evaluate progress over time, departments of family medicine are seeking ways to measure their current EDI state. Across the specialty, unity regarding which EDI metrics are meaningful is absent, and discordance even exists about what should be measured.

Although significant evidence exists that feeding early has a role in the prevention of food allergy, this intervention in isolation may not be sufficient. Recent evidence highlights that early introduction of peanut specifically has had no significant impact on the populational prevalence of peanut allergy. Other factors that may contribute to food allergy prevention include regularity of ingestion once an allergen is introduced and consideration to the form in which the allergen is introduced (such as baked versus cooked egg).

BACKGROUND : Cold snare polypectomy (CSP) is increasingly used for polypectomy and is recommended as the first-line modality for small (< 10 mm) polyps. This study aimed to evaluate incomplete resection rates (IRRs) when using CSP for colorectal polyps of 4-20 mm. METHODS : Adults (45-80 years) undergoing screening, surveillance, or diagnostic colonoscopy and CSP by one of nine endoscopists were included.

Veterans Affairs Medical Center, White River Junction, Vermont, and Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, Hanover, New Hampshire (J.C.A., D.J.R.).
Background: Incomplete resection of neoplastic polyps is considered an important reason for the development of colorectal cancer. However, there are no data on the natural history of polyps that were incompletely removed.
Objective: To examine the risk for metachronous neoplasia during surveillance colonoscopy after documented incomplete polyp resection.

Objective: To detail the scope, nature, and disclosure of financial conflicts of interest (COI) between the pharmaceutical and medical device industries (Industry) and authors in high-impact clinical neurology journals.
Methods: Using the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Open Payments Database (OPD), we retrieved information on payments from Industry to 2,000 authors from randomly selected 2016 articles in 5 journals. We categorized payments by type (research, general, and associated research/institutional), sponsoring entity, and year (from 2013 to 2016).

Endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma (EMPSGC) is a rare cutaneous adnexal malignancy with predilection for the eyelids of older adults. It must be distinguished from metastatic adenocarcinomas of extracutaneous origin and from benign adnexal proliferations on partial samples when a solid growth component and mucin production are not evident. Thus, demonstration of neuroendocrine differentiation can help to ensure a correct diagnosis.

Background: Allergen immunotherapy (AIT) is safe and effective but is typically administered under strict clinic observation to mitigate the risk of a systemic reaction to immunotherapy (SRIT). However, in the setting of the global coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, alternative care models should be explored.
Objective: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of home immunotherapy self-administration (HITSA) in a highly idealized circumstance for provision of maintenance AIT in a shelter-in-place or other scenarios of unforeseen reduction in nonessential medical services.
Optical real-time diagnosis (= resect-and-discard strategy) is an alternative to histopathology for diminutive colorectal polyps. However, clinical adoption of this approach seems sparse. We were interested in evaluating potential clinical uptake and barriers for implementation of this approach.

Objective: To assess the association of the 2012 New Hampshire parental notification law with patterns of abortion in northern New England minors.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study examining all minors undergoing abortions at Planned Parenthood clinics in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine from 2011 to 2012.
Results: The number of abortions among minors in New Hampshire decreased from 95 to 50 (47%, 95% confidence interval [CI] 37.
