This study examines the responses of 253 recently ordained stipendiary Anglican curates in the Church of England to the Francis Burnout Inventory during their second year in ministry. The data confirm the internal consistency reliability among recently ordained clergy of the scales proposed by this measure: Scale of Emotional Exhaustion in Ministry, and Satisfaction in Ministry Scale. While positive affect is high, with 90% agreeing with the item that they gain a lot of satisfaction from fulfilling their ministry roles, negative affect is also uncomfortably high, with 35% agreeing with the item that they feel drained by fulfilling their ministry roles.

Community mental health care is a practice setting conducive to the emergence of special situations since the intervention takes place in the client's living environment, a context fraught with multiple and often unpredictable events and triggers. In addition, the healthcare workers are often alone in making decisions. This can lead to a persistent feeling of discomfort when the situation can be seen from several different angles and the healthcare workers find it difficult to make the right decision or are uncomfortable with the consequences of a decision they must make.

DNA breathing dynamics-transient base-pair opening and closing due to thermal fluctuations-are vital for processes like transcription, replication, and repair. Traditional models, such as the Extended Peyrard-Bishop-Dauxois (EPBD), provide insights into these dynamics but are computationally limited for long sequences. We present , a high-throughput Langevin molecular dynamics framework leveraging JAX for GPU-accelerated simulations, achieving up to 30x speedup and superior scalability compared to the original C-based EPBD implementation.

Lynch syndrome (LS) is an autosomal dominant hereditary cancer predisposition syndrome whereby the lifetime risk of developing gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers rises by to over 50%. It is caused by heterozygous variants in the DNA mismatch repair genes- MLH1, MSH2, MSH6 and PMS2, with the majority detected in MLH1 and MSH2. Recurrently observed LS-associated variants in apparently unrelated individuals have either arisen de novo in different families due to mutation hotspots or are inherited from a common ancestor (founder) that lived several generations back.

Introduction: Weight-banded trofinetide dosing improved physician- and caregiver-rated efficacy measures and had acceptable tolerability in patients aged 2‒4 years (DAFFODIL study) and 5‒20 years (LAVENDER study) with Rett syndrome (RTT). Selection of weight-banded dosing regimens for these studies was based on population pharmacokinetic (popPK) modeling and exposure simulations. This study applied an updated popPK model to confirm steady-state trofinetide exposures achieved in DAFFODIL patients were within target range.

Landscape genomic approaches for detecting genotype-environment associations (GEA), isolation by distance (IBD) and isolation by environment (IBE) have seen a dramatic increase in use, but there have been few thorough analyses of the influence of sampling strategy on their performance under realistic genomic and environmental conditions. We simulated 24,000 datasets across a range of scenarios with complex population dynamics and realistic landscape structure to evaluate the effects of the spatial distribution and number of samples on common landscape genomics methods. Our results show that common analyses are relatively robust to sampling scheme as long as sampling covers enough environmental and geographic space.
