Background: The public's willingness to get vaccinated continues to be a source of concern. In this study we assessed the psychometric properties of the COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy scale (C19-VHS) as well as the association between the scale and self-reported past COVID-19 vaccination, approximately two weeks after the national vaccine distribution plan was launched in Israel.
Methods: Participants were recruited via an online survey distributed through social media platforms and mailing lists.

Schizophrenia is a chronic and debilitating mental disorder, with unknown pathophysiology. Converging lines of evidence suggest that mitochondrial functioning may be compromised in schizophrenia. Postmortem brain samples of individuals with schizophrenia showed dysregulated expression levels of genes encoding enzyme complexes comprising the mitochondrial electron transport chain (ETC), including ATP synthase, the fifth ETC complex.

Introduction: In recent years, several studies were conducted to explore the potential augmenting effect of oxytocin for the treatment of individuals with severe mental illness. Nonetheless, studies exploring its effects in routine inpatient settings using high-quality randomized controlled trials are scarce. The current study assessed the effect of oxytocin administration on treatment process and outcome among psychiatric inpatients, while employing a rigorous experimental methodology.

Purpose: Genitofemoral neuralgia (GFN) is a chronic pain condition that may be refractory to commonly employed treatment modalities. Implantation of a peripheral nerve stimulator (PNS) may provide significant pain relief; however, few reports have described placement of and response to a GFN PNS implant.
Clinical Features: We implanted a StimRouter® PNS in a 42-yr-old male with severe GFN that did not respond to pharmacologic and interventional pain management modalities and impaired all aspects of his function and quality of life.

Background: While pathogenic sequence variants (PSVs) clearly confer an increased risk for invasive breast cancer, the extent to which these mutant alleles increase DCIS risk is less clear.
Objective: To assess the rate of detection over a 5-year period, and MRI imaging features of pure noncalcified DCIS in a cohort of Israeli PSV carriers attending a high-risk clinic from 2015 to 2020.
Materials And Methods: All female PSV-carriers followed at the Meirav High-risk clinic from 2015 to 2020 were eligible if they underwent semiannual breast imaging (MRI/mammography) and MRI-guided biopsy-proven pure DCIS.

Background: Constraints of pelvic anatomy render complete cytoreduction (CRS) challenging. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of pelvic peritonectomy during CRS/HIPEC on colorectal peritoneal metastasis (CRPM) patients' outcomes.
Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of a prospectively maintained CRS/hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) database.

Background: The epidemiological relationship of vitiligo with systemic sclerosis (SSc) remains to be precisely evaluated.
Objective: To investigate the bidirectional association between vitiligo and SSc.
Methods: A population-based study was carried out to compare vitiligo patients (n = 20,851) with age-, sex- and ethnicity-matched control subjects (n = 102,475) regarding the incidence of new-onset and the prevalence of preexisting SSc.

Purpose: Recurrence of adnexal torsion involving otherwise normal adnexa is not rare. Various oophoropexy (ovarian fixation) procedures have been suggested to prevent recurrence; however, long-term information of their efficacy is lacking. The aim of this study was to investigate the recurrence rate of adnexal torsion following oophoropexy.

Background: While the coexistence of vitiligo and Crohn's disease (CD) has been reported in individual patients, the epidemiological association between these autoimmune conditions remains inconclusive.
Objective: To assess the bidirectional association between vitiligo and CD.
Methods: A population-based study was performed to compare vitiligo patients ( = 20,851) with age-, sex- and ethnicity-matched control subjects ( = 102,475) regarding the incidence of new-onset and the prevalence of preexisting CD.

Background / Purpose: It is generally perceived that a primary laparoscopic orchiopexy has superior outcomes due to preservation of the testicular artery, and thus should be the choice when achievable. The two-stage laparoscopic Fowler-Stephens orchiopexy (LFSO) is considered superior regarding success rate compared to the one-stage procedure when the artery must be transected. Outcomes can be jeopardized when a primary orchiopexy is ultimately realized to be the incorrect procedure due to insufficient testicular artery length.

Background: The impact of psoriasis on the outcomes of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is yet to be precisely delineated.
Objectives: To assess the risk of COVID-19, COVID-19-associated hospitalization, and mortality among patients with psoriasis as compared with age-, sex-, and ethnicity-matched control subjects. In addition, we aim to delineate determinants of COVID-19-associated hospitalization and mortality in patients with psoriasis.

Squamous papillomas are rare benign lesions that can be found in the oesophagus. It has been theorised that irritation of the esophageal mucosa leads to squamous papilloma formation. There is evidence to suggest that squamous papillomas of the distal oesophagus are related to irritation due to reflux of gastric acid.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the incremental value of preoperative breast MRI over mammography and US in depicting the accurate extent of disease in invasive duct carcinoma (IDC) compared to invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC).
Patients And Methods: Retrospective analysis of pre-operative mammography, US and MRI was performed in 239 patients with either IDC (n = 193) or ILC (n = 46). Images were evaluated for solitary, multifocal or multi centric disease and compared for concordance with postsurgical pathology.

Background: Small-bowel obstruction (SBO) after cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS/HIPEC) is a common complication associated with re-admission that may alter patients' outcomes. Our aim was to characterize and investigate the impact of bowel obstruction on patients' prognosis.
Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of patients with SBO after CRS/HIPEC (n = 392).

Background: Metastatic spread of malignant melanoma to the abdomen presents a therapeutic challenge. Targeted and Immune-therapies dramatically improve patients' survival, yet some patients may still benefit from surgical intervention. This study investigates the outcomes of surgical treatment of abdominal metastatic melanoma in the era of modern therapy.

Objectives: High background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) levels and asymmetric distribution could cause diagnostic uncertainty due to morphological similarity to breast cancer, especially invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). We investigated BPE in ILC patients, its association with the tumor hormonal profile, and the effect of endocrine treatment (ET).
Methods: The analysis included all MRI examinations performed at our institution between 2010 and 2019 for ILC-diagnosed patients.

Background: Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) have demonstrated benefit in patients with colorectal peritoneal metastases (CRPM). Traditionally, extraperitoneal disease is considered a contraindication to CRS/HIPEC. Stable lung metastases in patients with colorectal cancer often have an indolent course, while the presence of untreated peritoneal metastases poorly affects short-term survival.

Biological mitral valve restenosis after replacement in rheumatic heart disease is a rare complication. This case illustrates venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation to facilitate transcatheter mitral valve replacement in a patient with suprasystemic pulmonary pressure and cardiogenic shock with multiorgan failure secondary to critical mitral stenosis of a bioprosthetic valve.().
