Background: Bonding refers to emotions and cognitions towards one's infant. Breastfeeding is believed to facilitate bonding, yet only a handful of studies have empirically tested this assertion. This study aimed to confirm whether a positive association between breastfeeding and bonding exists and whether breastfeeding may be protective against the negative consequences of mood and sleep disturbances on bonding.

Objective: To compare the prevalence of postpartum retained products of conception (RPOC) among parturients with a history of third stage of labor placental complications and parturients without those complications.
Study Design: All women operated for postpartum RPOC following vaginal delivery by hysteroscopy or suction curettage between January 2013 and December 2017 were included in the study. Their medical records were reviewed for the occurrence of third stage of labor placental complications (including early postpartum hemorrhage treated with uterotonics, manual separation of the placenta, and revision of the uterine cavity for removal of cotyledons).

ARPC1B is a key factor for the assembly and maintenance of the ARP2/3 complex that is involved in actin branching from an existing filament. Germline biallelic mutations in have been recently described in 6 patients with clinical features of combined immunodeficiency (CID), whose neutrophils and platelets but not T lymphocytes were studied. We hypothesized that ARPC1B deficiency may also lead to cytoskeleton and functional defects in T cells.

Nivolumab is a human IgG4 programmed death (PD)-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor antibody, which is approved in Israel for the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It is also administered to individuals with disease progression during or after platinum-based chemotherapy, without a need to determine the level of PD-L1 expression in the tumor. The present study aimed to evaluate the survival and efficacy of Nivolumab treatment.

CCTA has become an important tool for coronary arteries assessment in low and medium risk patients. However, it exposes the patient to significant radiation doses, resulting from high image quality requirements and acquisitions at multiple cardiac phases. For widespread use of CCTA for coronary assessment, significant reduction of radiation exposure with minimal image quality loss is still needed.

Despite decades of research demonstrating the role of adult attachment styles and early mother-infant bonding in parenting behaviors and maternal mental health, these constructs have seldom been studied together. The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between attachment styles and specific bonding difficulties of mothers. In addition, as postpartum depression and childbirth-related posttraumatic stress symptoms have been associated with both constructs, we explored their possible mediation effect.

Objective: We aimed to compare the differences in placental histopathology lesions and pregnancy outcome in dichorionic-diamniotic (DCDA) versus uncomplicated monochorionic-diamniotic (MCDA) twin gestations.
Study Design: Maternal characteristics, neonatal outcome, and placental histopathology reports of all twin deliveries between 24 and 41 weeks were reviewed. Excluded were pregnancies complicated by twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, twin anemia-polycythemia sequence, selective intrauterine growth restriction, placenta previa, intrauterine fetal death, and malformation.

Staple-line leak following laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is a dire adverse event. While the treatment of acute and early leaks is well established, there is still dispute regarding late and chronic leaks. We describe an endoscopic approach combining septotomy and sleeve stricture dilation for treating late/chronic leaks.

Objectives/hypothesis: The inlay "butterfly" cartilage tympanoplasty was first described as a treatment for small, central ear drum perforations. This technique can also be applied in large, marginal perforations, whereas the cartilage graft is anchored on the bony annulus. The aim of this study was to present the technique, to evaluate the results of butterfly tympanoplasty in marginal perforations, and to compare with the results of butterfly tympanoplasty in patients with nonmarginal perforations.
