Vertiginous symptoms are one of the most common symptoms in the world, therefore investing in new ways and therapies to avoid the sense of insecurity during the vertigo episodes is of great interest. The classical maneuvers used during vestibular rehabilitation consist in moving the head in specific ways, but it is not fully understood why those steps solve the problem. To better understand this mechanism, a three-dimensional computational model of the semicircular ducts of the inner ear was built using the finite element method, with the simulation of the fluid flow being obtained using particle methods.

Method: Twenty-six 7th-grade students participated in 3 consecutive sport education seasons of invasion games (basketball, handball, and soccer). The research involved 3 action research cycles, 1 per season, and each cycle included the processes of planning, acting and monitoring, reflecting, and fact finding.

Male genital pain is frequently associated with sexual dysfunction, and some studies suggest it is influenced by cognitive factors. However, there is little evidence on how these factors discriminate male genital pain from other sexual problems. This study intends to explore differences on sexual functioning and self-reported cognitions during sexual activity between men with genital pain, men with sexual dysfunction, and sexually healthy men.

Sibling incest is a serious form of intrafamilial sexual abuse with health, social, and legal relevance. A retrospective study was conducted through the analysis of forensic medical reports of the alleged sibling incest of victims under 18 years old (n = 68) from 2004 to 2011 as well as the respective judicial outcomes. Results demonstrated that sibling's sexual abuse is associated with several circumstances that might exacerbate its severity such as vaginal, anal, and/or oral penetration.

The backstroke swimming start international rules changed in 2005. This study compared two backstroke start variants, both with feet parallel to each other but in complete immersion and emersion. Six elite swimmers performed two sets of 4 maximal 15 m bouts, each set using one of the variants.
