Introduction: Borna disease virus 1 (BoDV-1) is an emerging zoonotic RNA virus that can cause severe acute encephalitis with high mortality. Currently, there are no effective countermeasures, and the potential risk of a future outbreak requires urgent attention. To address this challenge, the complete genome sequence of BoDV-1 was utilized, and immunoinformatics was applied to identify antigenic peptides suitable for vaccine development.

It is known that large-scale synthesis of emitters affords colloidal quantum dot (CQD) materials with a great opportunity toward the mass production of quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) based commercial electronic products. Herein, an unprecedented example of scalable CQD (> 0.5 kilogram) is achieved by using a core/shell structure of CdZnSe/ZnSeS/CdZnS, in which CdZnSe, ZnSeS, and CdZnS alloys are used as the inner core, transition layer and outermost shell, respectively.

Current status and influencing factors of missing appointments in patients with periodontitis: a cross-sectional study.

Aim: This study aims at analyze the current status and influencing factors of missing appointments in patients with periodontitis after supragingivgy scaling, and to explore the measures to reduce the rate of missing appointments, so as to provide a reference for the prevention of periodontitis and oral health promotion.

Methods: This study adopted convenience sampling method to select 204 patients who made appointments for revisits in Grade III and Grade A stomatological hospitals in Guizhou Province from May 2021 to May 2022 as the study objects, and conducted the investigation by general data questionnaire, patient satisfaction questionnaire and modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS).

The AS rats were prepared by using high-fat diets. Rats in the normal and AS model groups were orally given 200 mg·kg~(-1) GA, blood samples were collected at different time points, plasma was separated, and the plasma concentrations of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin in the normal and AS model groups were determined by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS).

The human microbiome, the community of microorganisms that reside on and inside the human body, is critically important for health and disease. However, it is influenced by various factors and may vary among individuals residing in distinct geographic regions. In this study, 220 samples, consisting of sterile swabs from palmar skin and oral and nasal cavities were collected from Chinese Han individuals living in Shanghai, Chifeng, Kunming, and Urumqi, representing the geographic regions of east, northeast, southwest, and northwest China.

Methods: Forty-eight male C57BL/6 mice were divided into Control group, DQ model group (DQ group), SFN intervention group (DQ+SFN group), and SFN control group (SFN group) using a random number table method, with 12 mice in each group. In total, 2,540 questionnaires were collected, of which 2,360 were valid.

There is still potential room for improving the effectiveness of standard Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in preventing the onset of depression, achieving full remission, and preventing relapse or recurrence of depression. Standard CBT seems less effective in reducing depressive rumination, a key risk factor leading to the onset and persistence of depression. To improve treatment efficacy for depression, rumination-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (RFCBT) was developed, which was modified from CBT and specifically targeted to manage rumination.
