Classifying medical reports written in Hebrew is challenging due to the ambiguity and complexity of the language. This study proposes Text Test Time Augmentation (TTTA), a novel method to improve the classification accuracy of cancer severity levels from PET-CT diagnostic reports in Hebrew. Hebrew, being a morphologically rich language, often leads to each word having multiple ambiguous interpretations.

Heart failure is a major health and economic challenge in both developing and developed countries. Despite advances in pharmacological and device therapies for patients with a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and heart failure, their quality of life and exercise capacity are often persistently impaired, morbidity and mortality remain high and the health economic and societal costs are considerable. For patients with heart failure and preserved LVEF, diuretic management has an essential role for controlling congestion and symptoms, even if no intervention has convincingly shown to reduce morbidity or mortality.

Background: The incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) has increased in recent decades, as has the incidence of preterm births (<37 weeks). We aimed to evaluate and compare the prevalence of prematurity and early prematurity (<34 weeks) and birth season variability among T1DM and non-T1DM children.
Methods: A nationwide cross-sectional study was conducted, with linkage of data from 13 paediatric diabetes centers and Israeli National Registries, including T1DM patients and general non-T1DM population, born during 2000 to 2013.

Objective: Sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) is a recently proposed construct that refers to a genetically influenced tendency to more strongly and deeply process a variety of information. The aim of the study was to examine whether SPS is associated with an autoimmune disease such as type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Research Design And Methods: Participants were 128 adolescents (62 with T1D and 66 comparisons [without autoimmune disease]) and their parents who completed the Highly Sensitive Person Scale (HSPS) questionnaire, assessing SPS level.

Lissencephaly is a phenotypically and genetically heterogeneous group of cortical brain malformations due to abnormal neuronal migration. The identification of many causative genes has increased the understanding of normal brain development. A consanguineous family was ascertained with three siblings affected by a severe prenatal neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by fronto-parietal pachygyria, agenesis of the corpus callosum and progressive severe microcephaly.

Worldwide, 110-190 million people over the age of 15 years are estimated to live with severe disability-a physical state of being defined by the WHO as "the equivalent of disability inferred for conditions such as quadriplegia, severe depression, or blindness." Modes and qualities of disability care undoubtedly vary globally, dependent on income, health infrastructure and culture. Quadriplegia has a unique set of emotional and physical challenges that demand a great deal from care regimens and health systems.

How often are we faced with a tragic diagnosis in a young patient whose life is completely changed? Often in medicine the tragedy is short-lived: the patients never stabilise, they succumb early to their injuries or complications. We present the case of a young man in whom the exact cause of a spinal cord infarct has never been confirmed. As it transpires, regardless of the sequence of events and the time elapsed between injury and the onset of paralysis, his symptoms came with no warning, were life-threatening and terrifying.

Objectives/hypothesis: The outcome of functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) depends on a clean surgical field achieved by minimizing intraoperative bleeding. High frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), due to lower airway pressures, offers the benefit of improved venous return, less bleeding, and improved operating conditions. HFJV was compared to intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV) by assessment of surgical conditions and measurement of intraoperative blood loss.

HER-2 is overexpressed in 25% of breast cancers and provides a poor prognostic factor, affecting treatment decisions including administration of trastuzumab. Single reports show a lack of HER-2 in non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) using immunohistochemical (IHC) test. The present study evaluates HER-2 in NHLs using the chromogenic in situ hybridisation (CISH) test, which is more accurate than IHC, to seek new prognostic factors.
