Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is one of the most malignant subtypes of breast cancer with an unsatisfied prognosis. Effective biomarkers could predict the risk and improve patients' survival. Whether LINC00466 possesses the potential to serve as a biomarker of the progression and prognosis of TNBC was evaluated.

Background: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the most common microvascular complication of diabetes and has become the second leading cause of end-stage renal disease in the world. This study aims to clarify the regulatory mechanism of the lncRNA MSC-AS1/miR-325/cyclin G1 (CCNG1) axis in DN.

Methods: The regulatory mechanism of lncRNA MSC-AS1/miR-325/CCNG1 was evaluated by RT-qPCR, CCK-8 assay, flow cytometry assay, RNA pull-down assay, ELISA, and western blot assay.

The aim of the present study was to clarify the effect of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) small nucleolar RNA host gene 1 (SNHG1) on the proliferation, migration and invasion of osteosarcoma (OS) cells and to explore the potential underlying mechanisms. The expression levels of SNHG1, microRNA (miR)-424-5p and fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2) in OS tissues and cells were detected using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. OS cell proliferation, migration and invasion were analysed by MTT, wound healing and Transwell invasion assays, respectively.

We investigated whether S100A4 level is associated with pathophysiology of unstable angina pectoris (UAP), and its potential prognostic value for subsequent cardiovascular events. We compared plasma levels of S100A4 and a set of clinical markers in three groups (59 with UAP, 32 with stable angina pectoris and 30 healthy controls). S100A4 levels in patients with UAP were significantly elevated.

This study explored the effects of probucol on atherosclerotic plaques and soluble thrombomodulin in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Five hundred and eighty-three patients with CHD who were admitted to Jining First People's Hospital from February 2013 to February 2014. A total of 300 of them received conventional treatment, and were assigned to the control group, while the remaining 283 patients were treated with probucol in addition to the conventional treatment, and were assigned to the observation group.
