Background: Endometriosis is now considered to be a systemic disease rather than a disease that primarily affects the pelvis. Dienogest (DNG) has unique advantages in the treatment of endometriosis, but it also has side effects. Alternatively, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been used for over 2000 years in the treatment and prevention of disease and growing numbers of Chinese scholars are experimenting with the combined use of Dienogest and TCM for endometriosis treatment.

Background: Prostate cancer (PCa), a prevalent malignant cancer in males worldwide, screening for patients might benefit more from immuno-/chemo-therapy remained inadequate and challenging due to the heterogeneity of PCa patients. Thus, the study aimed to explore the metabolic (Meta) characteristics and develop a metabolism-based signature to predict the prognosis and immuno-/chemo-therapy response for PCa patients.
Methods: Differentially expressed genes were screened among 2577 metabolism-associated genes.

Background: Ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OSC), a common gynecologic tumor, is characterized by high mortality worldwide. Bromodomain (BRD)-containing proteins are a series of evolutionarily conserved proteins that bind to acetylated Lys residues of histones to regulate the transcription of multiple genes. The ectopic expression of BRDs is often observed in multiple cancer types, but the role of BRDs in OSC is still unclear.

The incidence of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is high and has increased gradually in recent years. At present, due to the lack of effective prognostic indicators, the prognosis of ccRCC patients is greatly affected.Necroptosis is a type of cell death, and along with cell necrosis is considered a new cancer treatment strategy.

Background: Macrophages are correlated with the occurrence and progression of bladder cancer (BCa). However, few research has focused on the predictive relevance of macrophage phagocytosis-mediated oxidative phosphorylation (MPOP) with BCa overall survival. Herein, we aimed to propose the targeted macrophage control based on MPOP as a treatment method for BCa immunotherapy.

Background: Bladder cancer (BCa) is a remarkably malignant and heterogeneous neoplastic disease, and its prognosis prediction is still challenging. Even with the mounting researches on the mechanisms of tumor immunotherapy, the prognostic value of T-cell proliferation regulators in bladder cancer remains elusive.
Methods: Herein, we collected mRNA expression profiles and relevant clinical information of bladder cancer sufferers from a publicly available data base.

This study was aimed at investigating the clinical effect of ultrasound-guided nerve block based on the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) for postoperative anesthesia in patients with tibial fractures. The noise-reduction processing was introduced in ultrasound images to adjust the ultrasound clarity of the patient. A total of 177 patients with tibial fractures in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed and divided into OG group (general anesthesia combined with nerve block, 78 cases), C1 group (simple general anesthesia, 27 cases), C2 group (ultrasound-guided nerve block combined with general anesthesia, 10 cases), and C3 group (62 cases of spinal-epidural anesthesia).

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a chronic and progressive disease, with advancing age, the morbidity of which will increase exponentially. Circular ribonucleic acids (RNAs; circRNAs) have gained a growing attention in the development of AF in recent years. The purpose of this study is to explore the mechanism of circRNA regulation in AF, in particular, the intricate interactions among circRNA, microRNA (miRNA), and messenger RNA (mRNA).

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the most important cause of end-stage renal disease with a poorer prognosis and high economic burdens of medical treatments. It is of great research value and clinical significance to explore potential gene targets of renal tubulointerstitial lesions in DN. To properly identify key genes associated with tubulointerstitial injury of DN, we initially performed a weighted gene coexpression network analysis of the dataset to screen out two nonconserved gene modules (dark orange and dark red).

Background: Hyperphosphatemia and anemia, which are common complications of chronic kidney disease (CKD), can independently contribute to cardiovascular events. Several previous studies have found that the iron-based phosphate binder, ferric citrate (FC), could be beneficial to both hyperphosphatemia and anemia.
Methods: Relevant literature from PUBMED, EMBASE, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CCRCT) and MEDLINE databases were searched up to 21 February 2022, in order to conduct a meta-analysis to investigate the efficacy, safety and economic benefits of ferric citrate treatment in CKD patients with hyperphosphatemia and anemia.

Objective: Many studies have drawn their attention to the immunotherapy of bladder urothelial carcinoma in terms of immunologic mechanisms of human body. These include immunogenicity of the tumor cells and involvement of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). We constructed a necroptosis-related long noncoding RNA (nrlncRNA) risk factor model to predict BLCA outcomes and calculate correlations with chemosensitivity and immune infiltration.

Melanoma, also known as malignant melanoma, is a type of malignant tumour that originates from melanocytes in the basal layer of the epidermis. Primary malignant melanomas of the female genital tract are rare. Similarly, primary malignant melanoma of cervix, which originates from cervical melanocytes, is an extremely rare disease and the second most common type of female melanoma in women aged between 15 to 44 years worldwide.

In tissue engineering, hydrogel scaffolds allow various cells to be cultured and grown and then implanted to repair or replace the damaged areas. Here in this work, kartogenin (KGN), an effectively chondro-inductive non-protein bioactive drug molecule, was incorporated into a composite hydrogel comprising the positively charged chitosan (CS) and methacrylated gelatin (GelMA) polymers to fabricate appropriate microenvironments of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) for cartilage regeneration. Based on the combination of physical chain entanglements and chemical crosslinking effects, the resultant GelMA-CS@KGN composite hydrogels possessed favorable network pores and mechanical strength.
