State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, PR China. Electronic address:

Cryptosporidium has gained much attention as a major cause of diarrhea worldwide. Here, we present the first structure of H-2K complexed with a decapeptide from Cryptosporidium parvum Gp40/15 protein (Gp40/15-VTF10). In contrast to all published structures, the aromatic residue P3-Phe of Gp40/15-VTF10 is anchored in pocket C rather than the canonical Y/F at P5 or P6 reported for octapeptides and nonapeptides.

Key Laboratory of Animal Immunology, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs & Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of Animal Immunology, Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Zhengzhou 450002, China.

The ingestion of food contaminated with citrinin (CIT) poses a variety of health risks to humans and animals. The immunogens (CIT-COOH-BSA, CIT-H-BSA) and detection antigen (CIT-COOH-OVA, CIT-H-OVA) were synthesised using the active ester method (-COOH) and formaldehyde addition method (-H). A hybridoma cell line (3G5) that secretes anti-CIT monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) was screened via CIT-H-BSA immunisation of mice, cell fusion, and ELISA screening technology.

Water electrolysis recognizes nickel foam (NF) as an effective current collector due to its excellent conductivity. However, recent studies highlighted NF's effect on the efficacy of various electrocatalytic reactions, primarily due to the presence of electroactive chemical species at its interface. In contrast, numerous reports suggested that NF has a negligible impact on overall electrocatalytic activity.

In order to study the movement characteristics of coal particles in the coal loading process of spiral drums, the spiral drum of a certain type of shearer was taken as the research object, and the intrinsic parameters of the materials were calibrated through the determination results of coal sample properties, the relevant parameters of coal particle adhesion were determined, and a discrete element model of spiral drum coal loading was established. The distribution of coal particle movement subsequent to the fracture of the coal wall was derived through simulation. By spatially dividing the envelope region of the spiral drum along the radial and axial directions, the number and velocity distribution of coal particles in different envelope regions were obtained.

Direct functionalization of native (N-H) indoles via C-H activation remains a challenge. Herein, we report a salicylaldehyde-promoted cobalt-catalyzed selective C2-H Heck reaction of native (N-H) indoles with both active and unactivated olefins in the presence of free N-H bonds. A series of structurally diverse C2-alkenylated native (N-H) indoles including natural product and drug derivatives were prepared directly and effectively without additional preprotection and deprotection procedures.

Henan Key Laboratory of Rare Earth Functional Materials, The Key Laboratory of Rare Earth Functional Materials and Applications, Zhoukou Normal University, Zhoukou 466001, China.

Phenoxazine, as an organic-small-molecule chromophore, has attracted much attention for its potential electrochromic applications recently. To develop appealing materials, phenoxazine chromophores were introduced at the N-position of carbazole-thiophene pigment, yielding two novel monomers (DTCP and DDCP), whose chemical structures were characterized by NMR, HRMS and FTIR. The results of the optical property study indicate that little influence could be observed in the presence of the phenoxazine chromophore.

Hubei Collaborative Innovation Center for Advanced Organic Chemical Materials, Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for the Synthesis and Application of Organic Functional Molecules, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hubei University Wuhan 430062 P. R. China

The prevalence of naphthalene compounds in biologically active natural products, organic ligands and approved drugs has motivated investigators to develop efficient strategies for their selective synthesis. C-H functionalization of naphthalene has been frequently deployed, but mainly involves two-component reactions, while multiple-component C-H functionalization for the synthesis of naphthalene compounds has thus far proven elusive. Herein, we disclose a versatile three-component protocol for the modular synthesis of multifunctional naphthalenes from readily available simple naphthalenes, olefins and alkyl bromides P(iii)-assisted ruthenium-catalyzed remote C-H functionalization.

Although there has been some recent interest in the proton conductivity (σ) of highly stable carboxyl metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) made of tetravalent metal ions, given their potential applications in fuel cells and electrochemical sensing, research on MOFs constructed by hafnium(IV) ions needs to be expanded significantly. Based on this, we used two common and easily prepared phenylpoly(carboxylic acid) ligands, 1,2,4-phenyltricarboxylic acid and 1,2,4,5-phenyltetracarboxylic acid, to react with hafnium tetrachloride, respectively, creating two porous hafnium(IV)-based MOFs, () and UiO-66-(COOH)-Hf (), with the same structure as UiO-66-Hf but with different numbers of free carboxylic groups. A series of stability assays revealed that the two MOFs had excellent structural rigidity, including thermal and water stability.

A ligand-promoted oxidative dehydrogenation C-H alkenylation of indoles and olefins was achieved using commercial and low-cost Co(NO)·6HO as a catalyst and Mn(OAc) as an oxidant. The design and selection of electrically unique methyl-substituted salicylaldehyde as a ligand is the key to achieve this transformation. This protocol can introduce an indole backbone into diverse bioactive molecules such as ibuprofen, naproxen, and Estrol for late-stage synthetic modification, which has potential applications in the discovery of drug molecules containing an indole motif.

In order to investigate the dynamic characteristics and fatigue life of the roadheader's gyration platform during the cutting process, the calculation of the cutting head load was achieved based on the force and its transformation of cutting pick, and the transient loads in the two lateral swing directions of the roadheader were calculated. Subsequently, the simulated load was applied to the multi-body model of the cutting section, and dynamic simulations were conducted. Critical information, including stress and strain distribution, as well as the maximum stress on the gyration platform, was extracted from these simulations.

Aqueous zinc-ion hybrid micro-supercapacitors (AZIHMSCs) with high power density, moderate energy density, good cycle life and excellent safety are promising candidates for micro-energy storage. Among them, AZIHMSCs based on TiCT MXene anodes and battery-type cathodes can provide superior performance. However, two-dimensional (2D) TiCT MXene electrodes have an inherent restacking issue and -F surface terminations that hinder ion diffusion and ultimately reduce the energy storage capacity of the corresponding AZIHMSCs.
