A visible-light-induced deoxygenative alkylation/cyclization of acrylamides with alcohols activated by CS has been developed by using xanthate salts as alkyl radical precursors in the presence of tricyclohexylphosphine. It proceeds through a tandem radical addition/cyclization process, and this protocol provides a reliable and practical approach to building the skeleton of 3,3-disubstituted oxindoles in moderate to good yields. Notable features of this reaction include readily available starting reagents, broad substrate scope and mild reaction conditions.

An efficient visible-light-promoted cascade difluoromethylation/cyclization reaction to access various CFH-substituted benzimidazo[2,1-]isoquinolin-6(5)-ones was developed using difluoromethyltriphenylphosphonium bromide salt as the precursor of the -CFH group under mild conditions. This protocol utilized an easily accessible and inexpensive organophotocatalyst, offering the benefits of a broad substrate scope, good functional group tolerance, and good to excellent yields, in addition to a simple operational procedure. Furthermore, the reaction mechanism was subjected to investigation, and it was demonstrated that a radical pathway constitutes a single electron transfer (SET) procedure.

Current studies have mainly focused on the effect of specific steel fibers on the shear performance of steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) slender beams. However, there has been a lack of in-depth research evaluating the effectiveness of different steel fibers through a statistically comparative analysis of experimental data from various researchers. Existing design methods do not fully account for the impact of all types of steel fibers on the shear capacity of SFRC slender beams, providing very limited guidance on selecting appropriate steel fibers.

The segment misalignment is a common defect in the segment installation of a shield tunnel construction, due to the complexity and uncertainty of its construction conditions. This raises a concerning about the safety of the segment lining for the shield tunnel. In this paper, the integrated numerical models with surrounding rock, peastone grouting and segment lining were built using three-dimensional finite element method, by introducing two kinds of misaligned defects of segments.

Ferroelectric polarization promotes a CdS/InSe heterostructure for photocatalytic water splitting.

Institute for Computational Materials Science, Joint Center for Theoretical Physics (JCTP), School of Physics and Electronics, Henan University, Kaifeng, 475004, China.

The rapid recombination of photogenerated electrons and holes greatly limits the efficiency of photocatalyst based on semiconductor. In order to address this issue, we predicted a novel ferroelectric polarized heterojunction photocatalyst, CdS/InSe, which enables the spontaneous overall water splitting reaction. The CdS/InSe heterojunction exhibits a band-edge staggered alignment and it is easy to form a direct Z-scheme charge transfer pathway.

An Orthogonal Test Study on the Preparation of Self-Compacting Underwater Non-Dispersible Concrete.

Materials (Basel)

October 2023

Collaborative Innovation Center for Efficient Utilization of Water Resources, International Joint Research Lab for Eco-Building Materials and Engineering of Henan, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Zhengzhou 450045, China.

To ensure a limited washout loss rate and the self-compaction of underwater concrete, the mix proportion design of underwater non-dispersible concrete is a key technology that has not been completely mastered. In view of this aspect, an orthogonal test study was carried out in this paper on the workability, washout resistance, and compressive strength of underwater non-dispersible concrete. Six factors with five levels were considered, which included the water/binder ratio, the sand ratio, the maximum particle size of the coarse aggregate, the content of the dispersion resistance agent, the content of superplasticizer, and the dosage of fly ash.

Introduction: This study delves into the influence of perceived teacher caring on the wellbeing of Chinese English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students, with a specific focus on the potential mediating effect of grit. With a sample size of 748 EFL students hailing from diverse Chinese universities, we aimed to shed light on the connections between perceived teacher caring, student wellbeing, and the mediating factor of grit.

Methods: To address our research questions, we collected data through self-report questionnaires that gauged perceived teacher caring, student wellbeing, and levels of grit.

Traditional financial accounting will become limited by new technologies which are unable to meet the market development. In order to make financial big data generate business value and improve the information application level of financial management, aiming at the high error rate of current financial data classification system, this article adopts the fuzzy clustering algorithm to classify financial data automatically, and adopts the local outlier factor algorithm with neighborhood relation (NLOF) to detect abnormal data. In addition, a financial data management platform based on distributed Hadoop architecture is designed, which combines MapReduce framework with the fuzzy clustering algorithm and the local outlier factor (LOF) algorithm, and uses MapReduce to operate in parallel with the two algorithms, thus improving the performance of the algorithm and the accuracy of the algorithm, and helping to improve the operational efficiency of enterprise financial data processing.

Department of Astronomy, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, 100875, China.

The fundamental purpose of this study is to conduct an inquiry into the efficacy of China's green credit strategy, and that is the core focus of the investigation. As part of this study, we investigate whether or not businesses that increase the environmental transparency of their operations to the outside world and green innovation within their operations are rewarded with more favorable bank loan terms as a direct result of receiving green credit. Specifically, we look at whether or not these businesses are awarded green credit.

Due to increased levels of human activity, various pollutants are frequently detected on the Tibetan Plateau, where the environment is extremely fragile and sensitive. Therefore, this study investigated the sources, pollution, and ecological risks of soil potentially toxic elements (PTEs) in different landscape areas within the Qaidam Basin in the northeastern part of the Qinghai−Tibet Plateau. The contents of seven PTEs (Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn, As, Cr, and Ni) in 32 topsoil samples (0−2 cm) were analyzed in different regions of the Qaidam Basin.

In recent years, there are many problems in the study of intelligent simulation of children's psychological path selection, among which the main problem is to ignore the factors of children's psychological path selection. Based on this, this paper studies the application of chaotic neural network algorithm in children's mental path selection. First, an intelligent simulation model for children's mental path selection based on chaotic neural network algorithm is established; second, it will combine the network based on different types of visual analysis strategies.
