Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) and N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation modification have recently been suggested as potential functional modulators in ovarian endometriosis, however, the function and mechanism of m6A-modified lncRNA in ovarian endometriosis remain poorly understood. In this study, we demonstrated that lncRNA UBOX5-AS1 expression was significantly elevated in ovarian endometriosis tissue and primary ectopic endometrial stromal cells. The expression of lncRNA UBOX5-AS1, which has m6A modifications, was highly positively correlated with demethylase Alk B homologous protein 5 (ALKBH5) expression and autophagy.

Background: Cardiac hypertrophy is characterized by the upregulation of fetal genes, increased protein synthesis, and enlargement of cardiac myocytes. The mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1), which responds to fluctuations in cellular nutrient and energy levels, plays a pivotal role in regulating protein synthesis and cellular growth. While attempts to inhibit mTORC1 activity, such as through the application of rapamycin and its analogs, have demonstrated limited efficacy, further investigation is warranted.

Biomolecules play essential roles in regulating the orderly progression of biochemical reaction networks. DNA-based biocircuits supplement an attractive and ideal approach for the visual imaging of endogenous biomolecules, yet their sensing performance is commonly encumbered by the undesired signal leakage. To solve this issue, here we proposed a glutathione (GSH)-activated DNA circuit for achieving the spatio-selective microRNA imaging through the successive response of a GSH-specific activation procedure and a non-enzymatic catalytic signal amplification procedure.

Liver organoids have been increasingly adopted as a critical in vitro model to study liver development and diseases. However, the pre-vascularization of liver organoids without affecting liver parenchymal specification remains a long-lasting challenge, which is essential for their application in regenerative medicine. Here, the large-scale formation of pre-vascularized human hepatobiliary organoids (vhHBOs) is presented without affecting liver epithelial specification via a novel strategy, namely nonparenchymal cell grafting (NCG).

The position and configuration of the C═C bond have a significant impact on the spatial conformation of unsaturated lipids, which subsequently affects their biological functions. Double bond isomerization of lipids is an important mechanism of bacterial stress response, but its in-depth mechanistic study still lacks effective analytical tools. Here, we developed a visible-light-activated dual-pathway reaction system that enables simultaneous [2 + 2] cycloaddition and catalytic - isomerization of the C═C bond of unsaturated lipids via directly excited anthraquinone radicals.

Prenatal exposure to hazardous environmental pollutants is a critical global concern due to their confirmed presence in umbilical cord blood, indicating the ability of pollutants to cross the placental barrier and expose the fetus to harmful compounds. However, the transplacental transfer efficiencies (TTEs) of many pollutants remain underexplored. Herein, we developed a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method to quantitatively analyze 91 environmental pollutants, including 13 bisphenols (BPs), 18 organophosphorus flame retardants (OPFRs), 7 brominated and other flame retardants (BFRs), 34 phthalates (PAEs), and 19 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), in paired maternal and cord serums.
