Validation of the 9th edition of the TNM staging system for limited-stage small cell lung cancer after Resection: A multicenter study.

Objectives: The 9th edition of the tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) staging system for lung cancer was proposed at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer in Singapore. This study aimed to externally validate and compare the latest staging of small-cell lung cancer (SCLC).

Methods: Four hundred and eight patients with limited-stage SCLC were collected after lung resection from four centers.

Here, we elucidate a positive correlation between fibroblast-like synoviocyte senescence and osteoarthritis progression and reveal that GATD3A deficiency induces fibroblast-like synoviocyte senescence.

The impact of perceived stress on the prognosis in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.

Objective: To assess the impact of perceived stress levels in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) within a 6-month follow-up period postprocedure.

Methods: A cohort of 339 hospitalized patients with coronary heart disease undergoing initial PCI was prospectively enrolled in the Department of Cardiology at two branches of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University between January 2022 and July 2022. Baseline data including demographic and clinical characteristics, along with the Chinese Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS), were collected.

Efficacy of XEN gel stent implantation combined with mitomycin C injection in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma: a meta-analysis.

Objective: To assess the efficacy of XEN gel stent implantation combined with mitomycin C (MMC) injection in controlling intraocular pressure (IOP) and the dosage of postoperative medication for open-angle glaucoma (OAG) patients.

Methods: The PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Science Direct databases were searched from inception to August 2022 without any language restriction. All studies that compared IOP and the dose of medication before and after XEN gel stent implantation and MMC injection for OAG patients were included.

Hypoxia-Responsive Biomimetic Nanobubbles for Oxygen Delivery Promote Synergistic Ischemic Stroke Protection.

Effective, precise, and controllable oxygen delivery is crucial for regulating the oxygenation balance of brain tissue at the early stages of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) because the absence of oxygen may result in a series of highly interconnected vascular-neural pathological events, including oxidative stress, inflammation, and neuroapoptosis. In this study, platelet membrane-reassembled oxygen nanobubbles (PONBs) were constructed for oxygen delivery to protect AIS. Benefiting from the preserved natural targeting ability of platelet membranes, oxygen can be controlled release into the hypoxia lesion at the preperfusion stage due to vascular injury targeting and oxygen sustained diffusion capability after PONBs administration.

[Resveratrol enhances the local antioxidant ability of the ovary in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome].

Objective: To investigate the effects of resveratrol (RSV) on ovarian morphology, plasma anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and insulin-like growth factor 1 levels (IGF-1), and oxidative stress parameters in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Methods: Forty-six rats were randomly divided into a normal control (n = 12), a PCOS model control (n = 12), a rosiglitazone (RSG, n = 11), and an RSV group (n = 11). The PCOS model was established in the latter three groups by rejection of epidehydroandrosterone.

Objective: Combining the results of the current study and the prior ones, we aimed to investigate the possible relationship between fast eating and the risk of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).

Methods: This is a sub-analysis of a multicenter cross-sectional study of 1965 participants investigated the association between fast eating and MASLD in Chinese.

To explore the thyroid function levels of inpatients in emergency ward and the status of combined Nonthyroidal illness syndrome (NTIS), and to emphasize the importance of thyroid hormone examination for non-endocrinology inpatients. According to thyroid function of inpatients in emergency ward, they were divided into NTIS group and non-NTIS group, the hematological characteristics and TH levels of each group were analyzed.

[Advances in artificial intelligence-assisted MRI radiomics in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer].

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cancer worldwide and the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths in men. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), with its high sensitivity and specificity in detecting PCa, is currently the most widely used imaging technique for tumor localization and staging. MRI plays a significant role in risk stratification of patients with neoplasm, surveillance of low-risk patients, and monitoring of recurrence after treatment.

The purpose of this study was to identify the mechanisms underlying the involvement of glycolytic genes in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). This study involved downloading 3 datasets from the GEO database at the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The datasets were processed to obtain expression matrices for analysis.

Background: Insulin resistance (IR) is a pivotal pathogenesis characteristic of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Objective: To evaluate the accuracy and safety of the LANCET robotic system, a robot arm assisted operation system for total hip arthroplasty via a multicenter clinical randomized controlled trial.

Methods: A total of 116 patients were randomized into two groups: LANCET robotic arm assisted THA group (N = 58) and the conventional THA group (N = 58). General information about the patients was collected preoperatively.
