We investigated the impact of environmental regulation on total factor productivity (TFP) based on a panel dataset of 284 cities at the prefecture-level and above in mainland China from 2006 to 2020 and examined whether environmental regulation had a resource reallocation effect and thus affected TFP. The results showed that there was an "inverted U-shaped" pattern in the impact of environmental regulation on TFP in China and a moderate strengthening of environmental regulation helped to increase TFP, which still held after endogeneity treatment and robustness tests. The "inverted U-shaped" relationship between environmental regulation and TFP in eastern, central, and western cities still held, while environmental regulation did not produce significant effects on TFP in the northeast.

Metal-coordination-directed macrocyclic complexes, in which macrocyclic architectures are formed by metal-ligand coordination interactions, have emerged as attractive supramolecular scaffolds for the creation of materials for applications in biosensing and therapeutics. Despite recent progress, uncontrolled multicyclic cages and linear oligomers/polymers is the most likely outcome from metal-ligands assembly, representing a challenge to current synthetic methods. Herein we outlined the state-of-art synthetic approaches to the metal-coordination-directed macrocyclic complexes by using foldable ligands or through assembly of amphiphilic ligands.

In this paper, CNT/Mg composites with high compressive properties were prepared by using Ni-plated CNT and pure magnesium powder as raw materials through the grinding of magnesium powder, ball-milling mixing and hot-pressing sintering. The effect of grinding time for finer magnesium powder on the microstructure and properties of the final composites was studied mainly by SEM, XRD, HRTEM and compression tests. The results show that with the prolongation of milling time, the magnesium particle size decreases gradually and the CNT dispersion becomes more uniform.

A free-standing nano-sulfur-based carbon nanotube/graphene (S/CNT/G) film with a conductive interlinked three-dimensional (3D) nanoarchitecture is fabricated a facile solution-based method. This 3D multidimensional carbon-sulfur network combines three different nanoarchitectures, as follows: zero-dimensional sulfur nanoparticles, one-dimensional carbon nanotubes, and two-dimensional graphene. The CNTs with a one-dimensional structure act as a conductive matrix, and graphene with two-dimensional sheets is intercalated into the CNT scaffold to build a 3D structure, extending in an additional dimension to provide improved restriction for sulfur/polysulfides.

School of Automation, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, PR China; School of Aerospace Engineering, Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, Zhengzhou, PR China.

When analyzing the stability of time-varying delay systems in view of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a quadratic polynomial function with regard to time-varying delay is always generated. And it is particularly crucial to determine the negativeness of the matrix of such a quadratic form function for obtaining an analysis result expressed in linear matrix inequalities. This paper proposes a method of tangent intersection in the delay interval segmentation, producing the generalized quadratic convex conditions by further utilizing the cross point between every two tangent lines.

Although transition metal carbides/carbonitrides (MXenes) exhibit immense potential for electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption, their absorbing ability is hindered by facile stacking and high permittivity. Layer stacking and geometric structures are expected to significantly affect the conductivity and permittivity of MXenes. However, it is still a formidable task to simultaneously regulate layer stacking and microstructure of MXenes to realize high-performance EMW absorption.

In this study, we carried out an experimental analysis of combustion behaviors and emission characteristics of pure biodiesel and biodiesel-dimethyl ether (DME) blends and determined the impacts of the biodiesel ratio and the nozzle parameter on the combustion pressure characteristics in the time domain/frequency domain and emission characteristics. The findings show that with a decrease in the biodiesel proportion in biodiesel-DME blends, the maximum combustion pressure and fuels in the premixed combustion stage decrease with a retarded maximum value phase, but the maximum heat release in diffusive combustion increases and the maximum amplitude of pressure rise acceleration decreases. All of the pressure level curves of BD100, BD80, and BD50 contain a rapid decrease stage 1, a slow decrease stage 2, and a fluctuating stage 3.
