Chronic pain is commonly recognized as a distressing symptom or a standalone disease, with over half of those affected experiencing cognitive impairment, which significantly impacts their quality of life. Despite a recent surge in literature on cognitive impairment associated with chronic pain, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis in this field has yet to be conducted. In this study, we performed a bibliometric analysis on this topic.

Starch-lipid complexes have attracted widespread attention owing to high anti-digestibility and thermal stability. However, methods to increase the content of starch-lipid complexes are limited. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of atmospheric cold plasma (ACP) treatment for different times (0, 1, 3, 5, and 7 min) on the formation and structure of complexes between maize starch (MS) and lauric acid (LA).

This study investigates the relation between exports sophistication and CO emissions, with particular attention paid to how foreign direct investment moderates them in Asian economies from 1995 to 2020. This study investigates the influence of exports sophistication, which measures productivity and income associated with an export basket, on environmental quality. Utilizing a two-step Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), we found that exports sophistication has an inverted U-shaped relationship with CO emissions.

Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) is an important player in breast cancer cell activity, and innovative fluorescent ligands targeting this enzyme offer revolutionary, real-time insights into its role in cancer progression, unlocking new avenues for diagnosis and treatment. This study introduces fluorescence-labeled PRMT5 ligands, highlighting their applications in visualizing PRMT5, monitoring enzymatic activity as well as studying toxicity. Herein, we describe the design, synthesis, and cellular imaging of a series of fluorescent ligands that target PRMT5.

Esophageal cancer is a major malignancy with a high incidence and poor prognosis. To elucidate the mechanisms underlying its progression, particularly with respect to cell division and spindle orientation, we investigated the role of m6A modifications and the centrosomal protein CEP170. Using m6A-seq and RNA-seq of esophageal cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues, we identified significant alterations in m6A modifications and gene expression, highlighting the upregulation and m6A enrichment of CEP170 in tumor tissues.

Objective: The primary methods for defining the prognostic risk of AML patients are cytogenetic and molecular analysis at the time of diagnosis. However, the prognosis of intermediate-risk patients is still not well assessed for biomarkers. The main objective of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the relationship between circRNAs and AML prognosis, to provide a theoretical basis for finding effective prognostic indicators in intermediate-risk patients, and to provide an important scientific basis for the development or revision of WHO practice guidelines and ELN risk classification, and to highlight the importance of continuing to focus on and evaluate the prognostic impact of circRNAs on AML in future studies.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors, with the characteristics of high mortality and low 5-year survival rate. The potential role of BTF3 and PDCD2L in HCC remains unclear. Our study found that BTF3 expression was upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues, and its high expression was associated with poor prognosis.

Aberrant elongation of proteins can lead to the activation of oncogenic signaling pathways, resulting in the dysregulation of oncogenic signaling pathways. Eukaryotic elongation factor 2 (eEF2) is an essential regulator of protein synthesis that precisely elongates nascent peptides in the protein elongation process. Although studies have linked aberrant eEF2 expression to various cancers, research has primarily focused on its structure, highlighting a need for deeper exploration into its molecular functions.

The occurrence of severe myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is associated with the clinical application of reestablishment technique for heart disease, and understanding its underlying mechanisms is currently an urgent issue. Prior investigations have demonstrated the potential enhancement of MIRI through EGR1 suppression, although the precise underlying regulatory pathways require further elucidation. The core focus of this investigation is to examine the molecular pathways through EGR1 regulates mitophagy-mediated myocardial cell pyroptosis and its impact on MIRI.

In recent years, targeting mitochondrial apoptosis has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). The SLC25 family of mitochondrial carriers plays a critical role in maintaining mitochondrial function and regulating apoptosis. However, the role of SLC25A21, an oxodicarboxylate carrier, in AML progression and its potential as a prognostic biomarker remain underexplored.

Background: Anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) antibody combined with chemotherapy simultaneously is regarded as the standard treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by current clinical guidelines. Different immune statuses induced by chemotherapy considerably affect the synergistic effects of the chemo-anti-PD-1 combination. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the optimal timing of combination treatment administration.

Ovarian cancer remains a significant challenge due to the lack of effective treatment and the resistance to conventional therapies. Ferroptosis, a form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-depend and lipid peroxidation, has emerged as a potential therapeutic target in cancer. Ovarian cancer has been reported to exert an "iron addiction" phenotype which makes it is susceptible to ferroptosis inducers.
