Background: Many studies have shown that non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), including long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) and micro RNA (miRNA), play a crucial regulatory role in glioma. LINC01116 is a newly discovered LncRNA, and the relationship between LncRNA and glioma is still under exploration.
Method: LncRNAs with potential differences were screened through GEO database, and the expressions of LINC01116 and miR-744-5p/TGF-β1 in glioma tissues were tested using qRT-PCR.

Objective: Among the illnesses that may develop from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), is pneumonia, a severe acute respiratory infectious disease. SARS-CoV-2 continues to spread worldwide and has caused hundreds of thousands of deaths thus far and has disrupted the world economy.
Patients And Methods: This review summarized the reported distributions of SARS-CoV-2 in 13 biological samples of the human body, including nose, feces, sperm, tears, breast milk, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, organs, sputum, cell lines, bronchial brush, blood, throat, and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.

Berberine (BBR) has a variety of pharmacological activities and is widely used in Asian countries. However, the clinical application of BBR still lacks scientific basis, what protective mechanism of BBR against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI). experiments, BBR pretreatment regulated autophagy-related protein expression, induced cell proliferation and autophagosome formation, and reduced the mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm) increase in H9C2 cells.

Berberine (BBR) is routinely prescribed in many Asian countries to treat diarrhea. Evidence from both animal and clinical investigations suggests that BBR exerts diverse pharmacological activities, including antidiabetic, antineoplastic, antihypertensive, and antiatherosclerotic effects. This study aimed to explore the cardioprotective mechanisms of BBR and to elucidate the modulations between autophagy and mitochondrial function during hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) in H9c2 cells.

Cardiomyocyte apoptosis induced by hypoxia and ischemia plays important roles in heart dysfunction after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). However, the mechanism of apoptosis induction remains unclear. A previous study reported that Y-box protein 1 (YB1) is upregulated after myocardial hypoxia/reoxygenation or ischemia/reperfusion (H/R or I/R, respectively) injury; however, whether YB1 is associated with H/R-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis is completely unknown.

Several metal-based phosphorus dendrimers were prepared. The first series developed by us was the Cu(II) series. In this series, the most potent is the third generation-Cu(II) showing original mechanism of action with activation of the pro-apoptotic Bax protein.

Antisense oligonucleotide (AON)-based therapies concern the treatment for genetic disorders or infections such as a range of neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases and have shown benefits in animal models and patients. Nevertheless, successes in the clinic are still strongly limited by unfavorable biodistribution and poor cellular uptake of AONs. Dendrimer macromolecules are synthetically accessible and consist of a core with repeated iterations (named branches) surrounding this core, and on the periphery functional groups which can be modified for ligand attachment.

Background: Compared with 10 years ago when our last survey was completed, the number of respiratory therapists (RTs) has increased markedly in mainland China. In addition, the education systems for RTs and the working environment have also changed. We aimed to describe the current status of respiratory care in mainland China.

The interaction of natamycin-azithromycin combination against 60 ocular fungal isolates was tested The combination produced 100% synergistic interactions when natamycin was added to azithromycin 20, 40, and 50 μg/ml against species complex (AFSC) isolates and to azithromycin 50 μg/ml against species complex isolates. Addition of 50 μg/ml azithromycin enhanced natamycin's effect against AFSC isolates by reducing natamycin MIC from 64 to 0.031 μg/ml.

The overexpression of inflammasome components is correlated with diabetes‑associated complications. Oleanolic acid is a triterpenoid compound which is important in arterial injury. The present study evaluated whether oleanolic acid improved diabetic rat carotid artery injury through the inhibition of nucleotide‑binding domain, leucine‑rich‑containing family, pyrin domain‑containing‑3 (NLRP3) inflammasomes signaling pathways.

The aim of this paper was to review cohort studies that analyze changes in the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS. We searched the PubMed and EmBase databases from inception to December 2012 for primary cohort studies of the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS after combination antiretroviral therapy (cART). Two independent reviewers screened and selected published studies of quality of life that had been followed up for more than 12 weeks after the beginning of cART.
