ERβ-regulated circATP2B1/miR-204-3p/TWIST1 positive feedback loop facilitates epithelial to mesenchymal transition in clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Background: Our previous studies have shown that estrogen receptor beta (ERβ) can promote the progression of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) by downregulating the expression of circATP2B1 and miR-204-3p. Here, we found that ERβ might promote the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) of ccRCC by modulating the circATP2B1/miR-204-3p/TWIST1(Twist family basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor 1) signaling pathway.

Methods: We utilized bioinformatics analysis to determine the clinical significance of TWIST1 in ccRCC.

The correlation between vitamin D3 and arginine metabolism levels in newborns with amino acid metabolism disorders.

This study aimed to explore the correlation between vitamin D3 and arginine (Arg) metabolism indicators in newborns with amino acid metabolism disorders. Based on clinical data, 30 newborns with amino acid metabolism diseases admitted to Shijiazhuang Fourth Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the disease group, and 30 healthy newborns from the same period were selected as the healthy group. After enrollment, blood samples were collected to measure the levels of Arg, Glycine (Gly), and vitamin D3 levels.

Value of early pregnancy ultrasound combined with ultrasound score in the evaluation of placenta accreta in scar uterus: A retrospective cohort study.

The objective of this study is to investigate the value of early pregnancy ultrasound combined with ultrasound score (USS) for the evaluation of placenta accreta (PA) in scar uteri. Thirty cases of PA in scar uteri diagnosed by ultrasound at our hospital between June 2021 and June 2022 were selected retrospectively (observation group). In addition, 30 patients had placenta attached to the anterior wall of the uterus and covered the internal orifice of the cervix; however, no PA was selected in the same period (control group).

Effects of dietary intervention combined with insulin aspart on serum nesfatin-1 and CTRP12 levels and pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus.

To analyze the effects of dietary intervention combined with insulin aspart on the serum levels of nesfatin-1, C1q/TNF related protein-12 (CTRP12), and pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). In this retrospective cohort study, 513 women with GDM admitted to Tangshan Central Hospital (Tangshan, China) between January 2019 and December 2022 were selected and divided into an observation group (dietary intervention combined with insulin aspart therapy; n = 284) and a control group (insulin aspart therapy, n = 229). The general characteristics, clinical outcomes, serum nesfatin-1 and CTRP12 levels, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels, pregnancy outcomes, and perinatal outcomes of the 2 groups were compared.

[Clinical significance and mechanism of TBX5 gene in colorectal cancer].

To examine the expression of T-box5 (TBX5) in colorectal cancer tissues and its clinical significance, and explore the effects of TBX5 on the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells and its mechanism. The expressions of TBX5 in cancer and adjacent normal tissues were tested by immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the relationship between TBX5 and clinicopathological features and prognosis of colorectal cancer was analyzed. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and western blot were used to detect the expressions of TBX5 in different colorectal cancer cell lines.
