Cobalt (Co)-free lithium (Li)-rich layered oxides (LLOs) have emerged as promising cathode materials for the next generation of Li-ion batteries, attributed to their competitive market positioning and high energy density. Nevertheless, challenges arise from surface oxygen loss due to irreversible anionic redox reactions, leading to severe voltage and capacity decay that hinder the large-scale adoption of LLOs. Herein, we present an innovative, facile, and environmentally friendly hydrothermal approach to induce surface reconstruction of LiMnNiO material.

The practical application of the metallic lithium anode is suppressed by the highly unstable interface between electrolytes and lithium metal during the process of lithium plating/stripping. A perfect solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) can inhibit detrimental parasitic reactions, thereby improving the cycling performance of the metallic lithium anode. In this work, a high-purity solid lithium difluorobis(oxalato) phosphate (LiDFOP) is synthesized and an outstanding organic-inorganic hybrid SEI is obtained in an ether-based electrolyte for the first time induced by LiDFOP.

In Situ Hydrogen Peroxide Production for Selective Oxidation of Benzyl Alcohol over a Pd@Hierarchical Titanium Silicalite Catalyst.

ACS Omega

July 2020

College of Chemical Engineering, State Key Laboratory Breeding Base of Green Chemistry Synthesis Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou 310032, PR China.

Using in situ generated HO is potentially an effective approach for benzyl alcohol selective oxidation. While the microporous titanium silicate (TS-1) supported with Pd is promising for selective oxidation, the Pd particles are preferentially anchored on the external surface, which leads to the problems such as non-uniform dispersion and low thermal stability. Here, we prepared a Pd@HTS-1 catalyst in which the Pd subnanoparticles were encapsulated in the channels of the hierarchical TS-1 (HTS-1), for benzyl alcohol selective oxidation with in situ produced HO.

Regulating Dielectric and Ferroelectric Properties of Poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) with Inner CH=CH Bonds.

Polymers (Basel)

March 2018

Department of Applied Chemistry, MOE Key Laboratory for Nonequilibrium Synthesis and Modulation of Condensed Matter, School of Science, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an 710049, China.

Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) based ferroelectric polymers have attracted considerable attention both academically and industrially due to their tunable ferroelectric properties. By pinning the conformation of the polymer chain and the ferroelectric phase physically or chemically, the ferroelectric behaviors of PVDF based polymers could be finely turned from normal ferroelectric into relaxor ferroelectric, anti-ferroelectric like, and even linear dielectric. Besides high energy electron irradiation and chemical copolymerization with the bulky monomers, in this work, an alternative strategy is presented to regulate the dielectric and ferroelectric performances of PVDF based ferroelectric polymer for the first time.
