Department of Economics, Division of Management and Administrative Science, University of Education, Lahore, Pakistan.

The importance of digital transformation (DGT) for increasing productivity cannot be negated and Chinese firms are rapidly embracing the digital transformation for their sustainability. But the mechanism and impact of digital transformation on total factor productivity (TFP) of firms is still unclear and this study is intended to fill this gap using the data of 3112 listed firms of China during 2011 to 2022. We applied various econometric techniques like stepwise regression analysis, instrumental variable approach, differences in difference approach, and mediating analysis to determine the relationship between digital transformation and TFP and robustness of estimated findings.

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic and recurrent gastrointestinal intestinal disease accompanied by inflammatory disorders, immunologic inadequacy, and intestinal flora dysbiosis, and current therapeutic pharmaceuticals have limited side effects. In this study, we revealed the extraction method of , analyzed the main component, compared the effect of its extract, , and conventional drugs with different properties on DSS (dextran sodium sulfate)-induced colitis, and indicated extract regulatory properties of inestinal flora. A colitis model was established on experimental design, and BALB/c mice (male, 7 weeks old) were randomly assigned to five groups ( = 10): control, DSS model, extract (CSE), GG (LGG), and 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) groups.

Given the problems of unclear division of evaluation factors, inadequate utilization of objective data and unreasonable distribution of weight in college performance measurement, this study extracts relevant indicators and quantitative data from the survey report of administrational institutions, and constructs a comprehensive performance measurement model based on the integration of fuzzy Delphi method (FDM), Entropy weight method (EWM), and grey relational analysis (GRA). The study seeks to identify differences in measurement analysis by comparing the weights, the performance and the rankings of the alternatives about higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang province. Finally, the results show the following: (1) by FDM, 33 indicators about colleges' performance are selected to form the evaluation system of the college's performance, (2) the indicators' weights are obtained through EWM and GRA, and a nonparametric test shows that there is no significant difference between the two types of weights, (3) the grey relational degrees of the alternatives are obtained and ranked on the basis of comprehensive evaluation model.

Thermal management is a critical task for highly integrated or high-power semiconductor devices. Low dimensional materials including graphene and single-layer hexagonal boron nitride (BN) are attractive candidates for this task because of their high thermal conductivity, semi-conductivity and other excellent physical properties. The similarities in crystal structure and chemistry between graphene and boron nitride provide the possibility of constructing graphene/BN heterostructures bearing unique functions.

College students learn words always under both teachers' and school administrators' control. Based on multi-modal discourse analysis theory, the analysis of English words under the synergy of different modalities, students improve the motivation and effectiveness of word learning, but there are still some problems, such as the lack of visual modal memory of pictures, incomplete word meanings, little interaction between users, and lack of resource expansion function. To this end, this paper proposes a stepped image semantic segmentation network structure based on multi-scale feature fusion and boundary optimization.

Preventing microbial biofilms on catheter tubes using ultrasonic guided waves.

Sci Rep

April 2017

Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics (MOE), Department of Physics, Collaborative Innovation Centre of Advanced Microstructure, Nanjing University, Nanjing, 210093, China.

Biofilms on indwelling tubes and medical prosthetic devices are among the leading causes of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. In this work, a new anti-biofilm catheter prototype was proposed. By combining an endotracheal tube (ET) with a group of ultrasonic guided wave (UGW) transducers, the general idea was to prevent bacteria aggregation with UGW vibrations.
