Hydrogen peroxide (HO)-based advanced oxidation technology has emerged as a cost-effective and green solution for tackling soil pollution. Given the highly heterogeneous nature of soil, the effectiveness of HO remediation is significantly influenced by its diffusion distance in soils. However, the dynamics of HO diffusion and its effective range remain largely unexplored, primarily due to the lack of analytical methods for mapping HO in soils.

Background: Metabolic syndrome heightens cardiovascular disease risk primarily through increased arterial stiffness. We previously demonstrated the involvement of YAP (Yes-associated protein) in high-fat/high-sucrose diet (HFHSD)-induced arterial stiffness via modulation of PPM1B (protein phosphatase Mg/Mn-dependent 1B)-lysine63 (K63) deubiquitination. In this study, we aimed to elucidate the role and mechanisms underlying PPM1B deubiquitination in HFHSD-induced arterial stiffness.

After RFA treatment in patients with liver cancer, the expression of /xCT and the proportion of DCs in the TME were significantly increased. /xCT is a poor prognostic marker for liver cancer and is mainly expressed in DCs in the TME. Targeting xCT in DCs combined with RFA significantly enhances anti-tumor immunity, suppressing tumor growth and offering a promising strategy for improved therapeutic outcomes in liver cancer.

is a novel bacterial phylum proposed based on hot spring metagenomes and public metagenome-assembled genomes, classified within the -- superphylum. This globally distributed phylum consists of one class and five orders, with the majority of its members being facultative anaerobes. Notably, the order utilizes hydrogen as an electron donor for carbon fixation through the Calvin Benson Bassham cycle.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the correlation between pretreatment serum lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene mutations, as well as its predictive value for progression-free survival (PFS) in advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients receiving epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) therapy.
Patients And Methods: We determined the optimal cutoff value for Lp(a) by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and Youden's index to categorize Lp(a) into high and low groups. Logistic regression was used to analyze the EGFR mutation rate in different groups.
