Background: The present study aimed to explore the regulatory effects of artesunate on macrophage polarization in sepsis.

Methods: Cell models and mice models were established using lipopolysaccharide (LPS), followed by treatment with various concentrations of artesunate. The phenotype of the macrophages was determined by flow cytometry.

Methods: Data of patients with stage IIIA-N2 NSCLC who received NACT in the 910 Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army from January 2017 to April 2020 were retrospectively analysed. Patients undergoing NACT were divided into the pCR group (80 cases with complete remission or partial remission) and the non-pCR group (46 cases with stable disease or progressive disease) in accordance with their treatment outcome.

Here, we used acute pediatric appendicitis (APA), a model of acute intestinal inflammation, to examine these migration mechanisms. MAIT cells were lower in numbers in circulation of patients with APA but were enriched in the inflamed appendix with increased production of proinflammatory cytokines.

Aim: To explore the clinical factors associated with pathologic complete response (pCR) for locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) patients treated with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) and develop a web-based dynamic nomogram.

Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients with examination confirmed LARC from 2011 to 2022. Patients were treated according to the Chinese Children Leukemia Group 2008 protocol (CCLG-ALL 2008 group) or Chinese Children's Cancer Group 2015 protocol (CCCG-ALL 2015 group).

A comprehensive survey was carried out to investigate the genetic etiology of short stature in children by whole exon sequencing of a core family cohort to find and study mutations in multiple genes to assess their potential correlations to low height in children. The study included 56 pediatric patients from the Department of Pediatrics at the Zhangzhou Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University. The participants met strict inclusion criteria, including age, Han Chinese ethnicity, low height standard deviation score, and the absence of known causes for short stature.

In the present work, a novel sandwich-like electrochemical immunosensor (STEM) of CA125 was constructed by preparing nanoribbon-like TiCT MXenes (TiCTNR) to immobilize primary antibody (PAb) of CA125 and UIO-66-NH MOFs structure to immobilize second antibody (SAb) and electroactive toluidine blue (Tb) probe. In this designed STEM assay, the as-prepared TiCTNR nanohybrid offers the advantages in large surface area and conductivity as carrier, and UIO-66-NH provided an ideal platform to accommodate SAb and a large number of Tb molecules as signal amplifier.

Methods: We drew upon a prospective cohort in the UK Biobank and calculated the energy-adjusted dietary inflammatory index (E-DII). The follow-up time was defined from the date of completing the last dietary survey questionnaire to the date of diagnosis of depression, anxiety, phobic anxiety, other types of anxiety, death, loss to follow-up, or the respective censoring dates for England (September 30, 2021), Scotland (July 31, 2021), and Wales (February 28, 2018).

Diagnostic Performance of Carotid Ring Sign on CT-Angiography in Internal Carotid True Occlusion.

Background: To differentiate between pseudo occlusion (PO) and true occlusion (TO) of internal carotid artery (ICA) is important in thrombectomy treatment planning for patients with acute ischemic stroke. Although delayed contrast filling has been differentiated carotid PO from TO, its application has been limited by the implementations of multiphasic computed tomography angiography.
