This theory has an emergent SO(5) global symmetry and is presumed to confine at low energies to the Néel state.

In a clinical trial of inhaled hydrogen in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), we found that hydrogen reduced the accumulation of lactic acid in the nervous system. There are no studies demonstrating the regulatory effect of hydrogen on lactate and in this study we hope to further clarify the mechanism by which hydrogen regulates lactate metabolism.

Astragaloside IV-mediated inhibition of oxidative stress by upregulation of ghrelin in type 2 diabetes-induced cognitive impairment.

This study is to observe the upregulation effect of astragaloside IV on ghrelin in diabetic cognitive impairment (DCI) rats and to investigate the pathway in prevention and treatment by reducing oxidative stress. Inheritance of social dominance is associated with global sperm DNA methylation in inbred male mice.

Dominance relationships between males and their associated traits are usually heritable and have implications for sexual selection in animals. In particular, social dominance and its related male pheromones are heritable in inbred mice; thus, we wondered whether epigenetic changes due to altered levels of DNA methylation determine inheritance. Here, we used C57BL/6 male mice to establish a social dominance-subordination relationship through chronic dyadic encounters, and this relationship and pheromone covariation occurred in their offspring, indicative of heritability.

Coherent Microwave Emission of Gain-Driven Polaritons.

By developing a gain-embedded cavity magnonics platform, we create a gain-driven polariton (GDP) that is activated by an amplified electromagnetic field. Distinct effects of gain-driven light-matter interaction, such as polariton auto-oscillations, polariton phase singularity, self-selection of a polariton bright mode, and gain-induced magnon-photon synchronization, are theoretically studied and experimentally manifested. Utilizing the gain-sustained photon coherence of the GDP, we demonstrate polariton-based coherent microwave amplification (∼40  dB) and achieve high-quality coherent microwave emission (Q>10^{9}).

Effects of warming on quantity and structure of litter-derived dissolved organic matter in subtropical natural forests.

Litter-derived dissolved organic matter (DOM) is an important source of soil DOM, and the response of which to climate warming may change forest soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics, such as soil carbon and nitrogen mineralization. In this study, we conducted a field manipulative warming experiment in natural forests. Combined with litter leaching solution collected in the field and ultraviolet-visible and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy analyses, we explored the effects of warming on the content and structure of litter-derived DOM in subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests.

To retrospectively analyze the clinical data of different types of selective intrauterine growth restriction (sIUGR) pregnant women under expectant management, including the natural evolution, typing conversion and perinatal outcomes. The clinical data of 153 pregnant women with sIUGR under expected treatment in Women's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine from January 2014 to December 2018 were collected. However, the mechanism of the PI4P-containing vesicle effect on mitochondrial division is unclear. Here, we found that actin appeared to polymerize at the contact site between PI4P-containing vesicles and mitochondria, causing mitochondrial division.
