Objective:  The aim of this study is to investigate the lack of knowledge about the transplacental transport of antibodies in unvaccinated term and preterm infants and possible differences in antibody-mediated immunity in the fetus depending on maternal vaccination in their own infancy.

Study Design:  The study was conducted as a prospective cross-sectional study between 2017 and 2018 and included a total of 334 participants. The study included 194 pregnant women with a preterm birth (before 37 weeks) and 140 pregnant women with a term birth.

Objective: The main feature of adult granulosa cell tumors (AGCT) is their capacity to secrete hormones, with nearly all of them capable of synthesizing oestradiol. The primary goal of this study is to identify synchronized endometrial pathologies, particularly endometrial cancer, in AGCT patients who had undergone a hysterectomy.

Materials And Methods: The study cohort comprised retrospectively of 316 AGCT patients from 10 tertiary gynecological oncology centers.

Background Preeclampsia (PE) is one of the highest-risk pregnancies and a complicated condition that occurs in 2% to 8% of pregnancies and is associated with markers of a systemic inflammatory response (SIR). In this study, we aimed to determine the role of these markers in predicting PE. Methodology A total of 300 women with singleton pregnancies and cephalic presentation were included in the study.

Introduction: The etiologies of diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) are still poorly understood, and many factors such as age, autoimmunity, genetics, idiopathicity, iatrogenesis, and oxidative stress (OS) play a role. Oxidative cellular damage increases following reactive oxygen species (ROS)-induced aging. This is the first study to evaluate the serum and follicular fluid (FF) thiol/disulfide homeostasis in patients under 35 years of age with DOR undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

Effect of pupil dilation on intraocular pressure in preterm and term infants.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of pupil dilation on intraocular pressure in preterm and term newborns.

Methods: This prospective study involved 55 eyes of 28 preterm infants and 38 eyes of 20 term infants. The infants were divided into two groups according to their gestational ages at birth as follows: preterm group, <37 weeks and term group, ≥37 weeks.

Inhibition of Interleukin-6 signaling: A novel therapeutic approach to necrotizing enterocolitis.

Objectives: This study investigated the effects of tocilizumab on the prevention and treatment of experimental necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in newborn rats.

Methods: Forty-two newborn Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly separated into three groups: NEC + placebo, NEC + tocilizumab, and the control group. NEC + placebo and NEC + tocilizumab groups were given 1 mg/kg lipopolysaccharide intraperitoneally once only on the first day, were fed with a special rodent formula every 3 h, inhaled 100% CO2 for 10 min, were exposed to cold stress at + 4 °C for 5 min, and 97% O2 for 5 min twice a day for 3 days.

Objectives: The study aimed to determine the awareness of emergency contraception (EC) and knowledge of its use as well as the unplanned pregnancy rate among women in the immediate postpartum period in Ankara, Turkey's second largest city.

Methods: Interviews were carried out among 1955 women on their first or second day postpartum. The interview was based on a questionnaire containing 19 questions covering participants' awareness and experience of using EC as well as their future approach to its use.
