Purpose: The objective of this study is to determine the perioperative outcomes of minimal invasive sacrospinous ligament suspension (SSLS) in women with apical prolapse.
Methods: This prospective randomized study included 1,464 patients for a 10-year period. SSLS was performed by Deschamps ligature carrier at 762 patients (Group 1) and automatic suturing instrument was applied at 702 patients (Group 2).

Background: The aim of this study was to define treatment modalities in tubo-ovarian abscesses (TOA) using a scoring system. As there is no scoring system for TAO there is still a controversy on the management. In our opinion, as there is no evidence based TAO management strategy, a scoring system is needed in the management of these patients.

Purpose: The aim of our retrospective study was to assess and to compare the surgical complications of hysterectomy regarding the choice of procedure [abdominal (AH), vaginal (VH), and total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH)].
Methods: A total of 6,480 patient charts undergone hysterectomy were retrospectively analyzed. Data including transfusion, bladder, ureteral and bowel injury, cuff dehiscence, pulmoner embolus, febrile morbidity, hematoma, reoperation, pelvic wall problems were gathered.

Methods: Our prospective study included a period of 3 years between May 2005 and October 2008. A total of 137 consequent women with stress and urge incontinence were included in the study.

Case Report: A 14-year-old girl presented to the emergency department with severe suprapubic pain, dysuria, hematuria, and hypovolemic shock. An ultrasound examination revealed liquid in the abdomen.

Endometrial polyp (measuring <2 cm) was diagnosed by transvaginal ultrasonography performed on days 7 and 9 of the cycle in six patients who underwent IVF. These six patients were treated by hysteroscopic polypectomy preceding oocyte retrieval under general anaesthesia after informed consent was obtained. The cause of infertility was male factor in three patients, tubal factor in one, and two cases were unexplained.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of labor time on the secretion time and quantity of breast milk in patients who underwent cesarean sections, and to compare findings of patients with and without labor.
Methods: A total of 180 patients, divided into three groups of 60 subjects, who had been hospitalized in Zekai Tahir Burak Maternity Training and Research Hospital between December 1999 and September 2000, were included in this study. Group 1 included patients who developed indications for cesarean during labor, group 2 included patients with previous cesareans who were admitted into the Hospital in active labor status, and group 3 comprised patients with previous cesareans who were dated for section (elective).
