Department of Oncology Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Disease, State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease, Guangzhou 510120, China.

To discuss the efficacy and safety of the dual immunotherapy of nivolumab plus ipilimumab in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are double negative for driver gene and programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression. We conducted a retrospective collection of clinical data for 61 patients with advanced NSCLC who were negative for both driver genes and PD-L1 and received dual immunotherapy with nivolumab plus ipilimumab at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from January 2019 to June 2023. Based on treatment conditions, patients were divided into first-line and non-first-line dual immunotherapy groups.

Copper-doped carbon dots and aminated carbon nanotubes (Cu-CDs/NH-CNTs) nanocomposites were synthesized by a one-step growth method, and the composites were characterized for their performance. An electrochemical sensor for sensitive detection of bisphenol A (BPA) was developed for using Cu-CDs/NH-CNTs nanocomposites modified with glassy carbon electrodes (GCE). The sensor exhibited an excellent electrochemical response to BPA in 0.

Objective: To explore the effect of a stratified dose of norepinephrine (NE) on cellular immune response in patients with septic shock, and to construct a prognostic model of septic shock. Methods: A total of 160 patients with septic shock (B group) and 58 patients with sepsis (A group) were given standard cluster therapy. Patients with septic shock were divided into four groups (B1-B4 groups: 0.

Key Laboratory of Nutrition and Food Safety of Yunnan Provincial Education Department, Kunming Medical University, Kunming, China; Yunnan Provincial Key Laboratory of Public Health and Biosafety & School of Public Health, Kunming Medical University, Kunming, China; Baoshan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Baoshan, China. Electronic address:

Chemotherapy failure in colorectal cancer patients is the major cause of recurrence and poor prognosis. As a result, there is an urgent need to develop drugs that have a good chemotherapy effect while also being extremely safe. In this study, we found cafestol inhibited colon cancer growth and HCT116 proliferation in vivo and in vitro, and improved the composition of intestinal flora.

Background: Research has shown that the body mass index (BMI) is not correlated with sperm retrieval outcomes, while serum testosterone and gonadotropins are related to the BMI in non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA). Previously, no comprehensive assessment had been conducted on the effect of the BMI of males in NOA. This study sought to comprehensively evaluate the effects of the BMI of males on hormone levels, sperm and embryo parameters, and clinical outcomes in NOA.

Department of Urology, Yunnan First People's Hospital, Kunming 650000, China.

Background: Since the introduction of the ALARA ("as low as reasonably achievable") concept, the management of severe renal trauma has shifted. Our hospital promotes delayed surgical intervention for grade IV closed renal injury, to preserve renal function. In this study, we retrospectively reviewed the management and outcomes of patients with grade IV closed renal injury in our hospital.

Predictive value of change in effective arterial elastance in norepinephrine weaning: a retrospective study.

Ann Palliat Med

June 2021

Medical Intensive Care Unit, State Key Laboratory of Complex Severe and Rare Diseases, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China.

Background: The weaning of vasopressors is usually an empirical choice made by clinicians. The aim of this study is to assess the predictive value of change in effective arterial elastance (ΔEa%) induced by fluid administration in early initiation of norepinephrine (NE) weaning.

Methods: Included were intensive care unit (ICU) septic shock patients with an indwelling pulmonary artery catheter who experienced initial resuscitation and required a fluid challenge.

Department of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Center/ National Clinical Research Center for Cancer/ Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, No. 17 Panjiayuan Nanli, Chaoyang District, Beijing, 100021, China.

Background: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of recombinant human serum albumin /granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rHSA/G-CSF) in breast cancer following receipt of cytotoxic agents.

Methods: The phase 1b trial assessed the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety of dose-escalation, ranging from rHSA/G-CSF 1800 μg, 2100 μg, and 2400 μg. Randomized controlled phase 2b trial was further conducted to ensure the comparative efficacy and safety of rHSA/G-CSF 2400 μg and rhG-CSF 5 μg/kg.

Introduction: Acupuncture and moxibustion has become a commonly used adjuvant treatment method to improve the success rate of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). However, There is still insufficient evidence that acupuncture treatment can improve the local microenvironment of endometrium, the endometrial receptivity, and the pregnancy outcome of patients, which is worthy of further study.

Method/design: To investigate the effect of Stage by Stage Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy on endometrial receptivity and Pregnancy Outcome based on the theory of "Chong channel being sea of blood," we will conduct a multicenter randomized controlled trial.

Background: To investigate the influences of HOX transcript antisense ribonucleic acid (HOTAIR) on the proliferation and apoptosis of glioblastoma cells by targeting micro RNA (miR)-219.

Objective: With glioblastoma cell line U87 as the object, the changes in expression levels of HOTAIR and miR-219 in each group were detected via quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) after HOTAIR in U87 cell lines was knocked down using small interfering RNA (siRNA). Then the cell proliferation in each group was determined using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and colony formation assays.

Realistic tool-tissue interactive modeling has been recognized as an essential requirement in the training of virtual surgery. A virtual basic surgical training framework integrated with real-time force rendering has been recognized as one of the most immersive implementations in medical education. Yet, compared to the original intraoperative data, there has always been an argument that these data are represented by lower fidelity in virtual surgical training.
