Objective: To evaluate the association between interleukin-12 (IL-12) gene polymorphism and cervical cancer susceptibility.

Methods: We comprehensively retrieved the relevant English and Chinese database to collect case-control studies on the association between the IL-12 gene polymorphism and cervical cancer susceptibility. Data were extracted independently by two researchers respectively, the summary data were analyzed using Revman 5.

Objective: The influence of β2-microglobulin (β2-MG) on the prognosis of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) remains controversial. This study performed meta-analyses to evaluate the prognostic value of β2-MG on the overall survival (OS) of NHL.

Methods: Through a search of relevant literature in PubMed, EMbase, Science Direct, OVID and Wanfang databases from 1980-2013, the hazard ratios (HRs) of OS between the normal β2-MG group and the increased β2-MG group were retrieved, and the results were combined using a fixed effect model and a random effect model.

Objective: The present study aims to evaluate the relation between PON1 L55M polymorphism and ischemic stroke by a meta-analysis method.

Methods: English and Chinese databases were retrieved to find qualified studies; a random or fixed effects model was used to merge the odds ratio (OR); Q test was used to assess the heterogeneity among studies, and Egger's test and funnel plot were used for the assessment of publication bias.

Results: 14 studies were included in the meta-analysis; in total populations, there was no association between PON1 gene L55M polymorphism and ischemic stroke in additive, dominant, and recessive model, respectively.

The signal transducer and activator of transcription 4 (STAT4) rs7574865 polymorphism has been indicated to be correlated with type 1 diabetes (T1D) susceptibility, but study results are still debatable. Thus, a meta-analysis was conducted. The electronic databases PubMed, Embase, CNKI, and Web of Science (ISI) were searched to find eligible studies.
