Background: This study aims to investigate the role of microRNA-92a (miR-92a) in metastasis of osteosarcoma (OS) cells in vivo and in vitro by regulatingTCF21 with the transmission of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs).
Methods: BMSCs were isolated, purified and cultured from healthy adult bone marrow tissues. The successfully identified BMSCs were co-cultured with OS cells, and the effects of BMSCs on the growth metastasis of OS cells in vitro and in vivo were determined.

BMI, a component of the polycomb repressive complex (PRC1), is upregulated in various types of cancer and contributes to epigenetic silencing of tumor suppressors. Objectives: The study aimed to assess the combination of DNA ploidy analysis (DPA) and the expression of microRNA-21 (miR-21) or microRNA-24 (miR-24) in the detection of malignant pleural effusion (MPE).
Methods: In this prospective research, a total of 40 samples (20 benign and 20 malignant effusions), flexural effusion exfoliated cells and cell-free miR-21 and miR-24 were collected. DPA and exfoliative cytology examinations were conducted to diagnose flexural effusion exfoliated cells.

Objective: To review the literature and analyze the efficacy and safety of 3 surgical methods (neuroendoscopic fenestration, microsurgical fenestration, and cystoperitoneal shunting) for middle cranial fossa arachnoid cysts (MCFACs).
Methods: We searched MEDLINE, PubMed, and Cochrane Central electronic databases and collected studies of patients with MCFACs treated with 1 of 3 surgical methods. Eligible studies reported the rate of clinical symptoms improvement (RCSI), rate of cyst reduction (RCR), rate of total complications (RTC), rate of short-term complications (RSTC), rate of long-term complications (RLTC), and other parameters.

The involvement of miR-491-5p in breast cancer development is unclear. This study showed that miR-491-5p is significantly downregulated in ERα-positive breast cancer tissues and cell lines and is generally hypermethylated in ERα-positive breast cancer. MiR-491-5p overexpression significantly suppressed estrogen signaling and estrogen-stimulated proliferation of breast cancer cells.
