Importance: Persisting or new thrombi in the distal arteries and the microcirculation have been reported to limit the benefits of successful endovascular thrombectomy for patients with acute ischemic stroke. It remains uncertain whether intra-arterial thrombolysis by urokinase following near-complete to complete reperfusion by thrombectomy improves outcomes among patients with ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion.
Objective: To assess the efficacy and adverse events of intra-arterial urokinase after near-complete to complete reperfusion by thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion.

Background: Patients with tuberculous meningitis (TBM) are at high risk of ischemic stroke, and stroke is a poor prognosticator of TBM. However, reports regarding the predictors of stroke in TBM patients are scanty. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics and predictors of tuberculous meningitis-related ischemic stroke (TBMRIS).

Purpose: Pseudoprogression is an atypical imaging pattern of response to immunotherapy in patients with brain tumors. MR perfusion studies in this field are limited. The purpose of our study is to compare the perfusion features between pseudoprogression lesions in malignant gliomas and brain metastases treated with immunotherapy (iPsP) and the pseudoprogression after chemo-radiation therapy and radiation necrosis after radiation treatment (ChR-PsP & RN).

Cancer immunotherapy has emerged as a novel clinical therapeutic option for a variety of solid tumors over the past decades. The application of immunotherapy in primary and metastatic brain tumors continues to grow despite limitations due to the physiological characteristics of the immune system within the central nervous system (CNS) and distinct pathological barriers of malignant brain tumors. The post-immunotherapy treatment imaging is more complex.

The intravascular large B cell lymphoma (IVLBCL) is a rare subtype of lymphoma. The IVBCL is usually found with systemic involvement, with a relative predilection for skin and the central nervous system (CNS), followed by a rapidly progressive course and poor prognosis with a high mortality rate. IVLBCL is difficult to diagnose based on conventional MRI alone.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify factors that predict favorable functional outcomes in elderly patients with large-vessel occlusion acute ischemic stroke (LVO-AIS) who underwent mechanical thrombectomy (MT).
Methods: We conducted a retrospective observational study using the prospectively maintained Bigdata Observatory for Stroke of China (BOSC) to identify eligible patients who underwent MT for LVO-AIS at four comprehensive stroke centers between August 2019 and February 2022. Inclusion criteria included patients aged 80 years or older with a baseline modified Rankin Scale (mRS) 0-2, baseline National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) > 6, baseline Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) > 6 who received treatment within 24 h from symptom onset.

The aim of this study was to investigate the survival effect of palliative surgery in advanced tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC). A retrospective analysis of data in the SEER database for 6151 patients with stage III/IV TSCC (American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging), diagnosed between 2004 and 2015, was performed. The patients were divided into two groups: palliative surgery and no surgery.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between early petechial hemorrhage and patient outcomes after successful EVT of anterior circulation.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed multicenter data from 316 patients who underwent EVT for acute occlusion of anterior circulation.

Background: This study aimed to develop a nomogram for predicting temporary acute agitated delirium after surgery in patients with chronic subdural hematoma (CSH) without neurological compromise and hospitalized in the neurosurgery.
Methods: We included 289 patients with chronic subdural hematoma (CSH) from the medical information system of Yuebei People's Hospital of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, and collected 16 clinical indicators within 24 h of admission. We used the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression to identify risk factors.

Objectives: Rebleeding after hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage is a common and serious postoperative complication in neurosurgery, with high mortality and mental disability rates. The aim of this study was to establish a nomogram to analyze the role of thromboelastography in predicting rebleeding after hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.
Basic Methods: We selected 375 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage who underwent surgical treatment in Yuebei People's Hospital of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province from May 2018 to August 2022, and retrospectively analyzed the relevant data of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage patients (including general data and clinical thromboelastography data), and analyzed the factors and thromboelastography parameters that affect rebleeding after surgery (45 cases, defined as re-examination of head CT within 72 h after surgery showed that the hematoma in the surgical area exceeded 20 ml).

Receptor activity modifying protein 1 (RAMP1) facilitates the localization of the calcitonin-like receptor (CLR) to the plasma membrane, but its role in osteosarcoma (OS) remains unclear. We evaluated the RAMP1 expression and prognostic value across different cancers, studying tumor immune infiltration. The prognostic value was analyzed using the GSE39058 and TARGET datasets.

Background: This study aimed to get a deeper insight into new osteosarcoma (OS) signature based on bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs)-related genes and to confirm the prognostic pattern to speculate on the overall survival among OS patients.
Methods: Firstly, pathway analyses using Gene Ontology (GO) and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) were managed to search for possible prognostic mechanisms attached to the OS-specific differentially expressed BMPs-related genes (DEBRGs). Secondly, univariate and multivariate Cox analysis was executed to filter the prognostic DEBRGs and establish the polygenic model for risk prediction in OS patients with the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression analysis.
