Para-toluidine (p-toluidine) is a high production volume chemical, of which about 5,000 tons/year are imported into Korea as of the 2018 registration. This substance is mainly used as an intermediate in the manufacture of paints, azo dyes, and pigments. In this study, an ecological risk assessment of p-toluidine was performed to investigate the risk to the environment assuming the worst-case exposure scenario.

Homosalate (HS) and octisalate (OS), which are used in sunscreen for the purpose of blocking ultraviolet rays, are frequently detected in water environment. Although effects on estrogens and androgens have been reported, studies on thyroid and growth hormone endocrine disruption are limited. In the present study, larval mortality was compared in wild-type and two knockout fish (thyroid hormone receptor alpha a knockout (thrαa) and dre-miR-499 knockout (dre-miR-499)) after 96 h of exposure to HS and OS (0, 0.

Benzisothiazolinone (BIT) and propyl paraben (PP) are preservatives in cleaning products; however, their toxicities are not well understood. In this study, zebrafish embryos were exposed to BIT, PP, and mixtures of both for 96 h to investigate the effects on growth hormone (GH), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), and the transcription of 19 genes related to the GH/IGFs axis. Concentrations of BIT and PP were measured in the whole body of larvae.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, internet gaming became more popular as a way to cope with stress, but excessive gaming can lead to mental health issues like internet gaming disorder (IGD). IGD has serious consequences, especially among children and young adults, and the gaming industry's profits continue to grow. This study aims to understand the mental and behavioral health of adolescents with IGD participating in an equine-assisted learning (EAL) program and assess the changes in their addiction tendencies and emotional and behavioral problems.

Immune-modulatory effects in obese-diabetes () mice were observed to understand the possible mechanism(s) of ephedrine-induced unfavorable responses. The ephedrine doses were selected based on the FDA report (NTP Tech Rep Ser NO 307; CAS# 134-72-5), which showed the non-toxic dose for B6C3F1 mice. In mice, higher doses (6 and 12 mg/mouse) of ephedrine significantly harmed the liver and lung morphology, including fatty liver with multiple blood vessel engorgement, alveolar wall thickening, and inflammatory response in the lung.

Conventional IoT wearable sensor Taekwondo motion image recognition model mainly uses Anchor fixed proportion whole body target anchor frame to extract recognition features, which is vulnerable to dynamic noise, resulting in low displacement recognition rate of motion image. Therefore, a new IoT wearable sensor Taekwondo motion image recognition model needs to be designed based on hybrid neural network algorithm. That is, the wearable sensor Taekwondo motion image features are extracted, and the hybrid neural network algorithm is used to generate the optimization model of the wearable sensor Taekwondo motion image recognition of the Internet of Things, so as to achieve effective recognition of Taekwondo motion images.
