Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on spinal cord injury (SCI) in rats and the influence of Notch/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling pathway.

Methods: A total of 40 10-week-old male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were selected to establish T -segment SCI model by a free falling object. Among them, 32 successful models were randomly divided into model group and bFGF group, with 16 in each group.

Clinical analysis of severe pneumonia: Case series study.

The clinical characteristics and diagnosis of ten cases with severe pneumonia were analyzed. Ten patients had high fever, cough, or diarrhea, and all had a history of contact with birds or poultry. The white blood cell count of the patients was normal or slightly increased.

Background: Potassium-competitive acid blockers (P-CAB) are recommended for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infections, but dual therapy of P-CAB with amoxicillin has been poorly studied. The current study compared the efficacy, adverse reactions, compliance, and effects on gut microbiota of 14-day vonoprazan-amoxicillin (VA) dual therapy with esomeprazole, bismuth potassium citrate, amoxicillin, and metronidazole (EBAM) quadruple therapy in treatment-naive patients with H. pylori.

Downregulation of ROR2 attenuates LPS-induced A549 cell injury through JNK and ERK signaling pathways.

Background: We aimed to determine whether receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 2 (ROR2) is involved in the occurrence of acute lung injury (ALI) by an animal study and explore the effect of ROR2 downregulation on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated human lung carcinoma A549 cells by a cytological study.

Methods: Murine models of ALI were successfully constructed by intratracheal instillation of LPS. Meanwhile, A549 cell line stimulated with LPS was used for a cytological study.

Objective: To investigate the effects of glucocorticoid receptor agonists on hyperalgesia in rats with neuropathic pain (NPP) by regulating nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3)/interleukin-1β (IL-1β) pathway and its mechanisms.

Methods: Forty SD rats were divided into control group, NPP model group, NPP treated with NLRP3 inhibitor group and dexamethasone treatment group with 10 rats in each group. The NPP rat model was induced by vincristine.

A Rapid and Efficient Screening System for Neutralizing Antibodies and Its Application for SARS-CoV-2.

After the pandemic of COVID-19, neutralizing antibodies (NAbs) against SARS-CoV-2 have been developed for the prophylactic and therapeutic purposes. However, few methodologies are described in detail on how to rapidly and efficiently generate effective NAbs to SARS-CoV-2. Here, we integrated and optimized a strategically screening method for NAbs, which has enabled us to obtain SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD) specific NAbs within 6 days, followed by additional 9 days for antibody production and function analysis.

Effect of gut microbiota on LPS-induced acute lung injury by regulating the TLR4/NF-kB signaling pathway.

Acute lung injury (ALI) is a common acute respiratory disease treated in the clinic. Intestinal microflora disorder affect lung diseases through the gut-lung axis.
