Article Synopsis
  • The study explored the link between isoflavone (ISF) intake and the risk of hereditary breast cancer (BC) among East-Asian women, focusing on BRCA1/2 mutation carriers and other high-risk groups.
  • The research involved 1,709 participants and utilized hazard ratios and confidence intervals to assess the relationship between ISF consumption and different breast cancer subtypes.
  • Findings indicated that higher ISF intake is associated with a lower risk of luminal A and triple negative breast cancer among BRCA mutation carriers and women with a family history of breast cancer.
