Objective: The aim of the study is to explore the curative effect of Yangxin Dingji capsule combined with mexiletine hydrochloride on postoperative ventricular arrhythmia (VA) and its influences on vascular endothelial function in coronary bifurcation lesions (CBL).

Methods: A total of 110 patients with CBL admitted to the hospital were enrolled as research subjects between January and December 2021. According to the random number table method, they were divided into a combination group and control group, with 55 cases in each group.

Methods: CDC42, Th1 cells, and Th2 cells in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and interferon-γ and interleukin-4 in the serum were determined in 200 AR patients.

Background: There have been several controversies about the correlation between vitamin D and depression. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between vitamin D supplementation and the incidence and prognosis of depression and to analyze the latent effects of subgroups including population and supplement strategy.

Methods: A systematic search for articles before July 2021 in databases (PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library) was conducted to investigate the effect of vitamin D supplementation on the incidence and prognosis of depression.

Background: The efficacy of alfentanil supplementation for the sedation of bronchoscopy remains controversial. We conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the influence of alfentanil supplementation on the sedation during bronchoscopy.

Methods: We search PubMed, EMbase, Web of science, EBSCO, and Cochrane library databases through December 2019 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing the effect of alfentanil supplementation versus placebo for the sedation during bronchoscopy.

Despite the significant progress in decreasing the occurrence and mortality of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), it remains a public health issue worldwide on the basis of its late presentation and tumor recurrence. To date, apart from surgical interventions, such as surgical resection, liver transplantation and locoregional ablation, current standard antitumor protocols include conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy. Methods: 126 elderly hospitalized patients with POP in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were divided into the control group ( = 63) and the observation group ( = 63) by the random number table method. The patients in the control group were treated with zoledronic acid and calcitriol, while the patients in the observation group were additionally treated with prebiotics/probiotics preparations.

Bicyclol has protective activity against NAFLD in mice; however, the effect of bicyclol on high-fat diet (HFD)-induced NASH and its underlying molecular mechanism remains unknown particularly anti-endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and autophagic machinery potentials. Therefore, the present study was performed to investigate the protective effect and underlying mechanisms of bicyclol action on NAFLD/NASH.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common chronic disease characterized by the excessive accumulation of hepatocyte fat and steatosis in the absence of alcohol or any other clear contributing factors to liver injury. NAFLD has been confirmed to be closely associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and dyslipidemia. Genetic polymorphism studies have shown the relations between the apolipoprotein A5 gene (APOA5) and NAFLD.

The objective of this prospective multi-center head-to-head clinical randomized comparative trail (RCT) is to compare PCa detection rate in the TRUS-guided 12-core standard systematic biopsy (TRUS-SB) group and cognitive fused mpMRI-guided 12-core biopsy (mpMRI) group against AIUSP group.

Methods: Four hundred patients were randomized to three arms and underwent biopsies by TRUS-SB (n = 133), mpMRI (n = 134), and AIUSP (n = 133) between January 2015 and December 2017.

Background: The tumor microenvironment (TME) is closely related to clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) prognosis, and immunotherapy response. In current study, comprehensive bio-informative analysis was adopted to construct a TME-related lncRNA signature for immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and targeted drug responses in ccRCC patients.

Methods: The TME mRNAs were screened following the immune and stromal scores with the data from GSE15641, GSE29609, GSE36895, GSE46699, GSE53757, and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)-kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC).

Preeclampsia (PE) is a complex pregnancy-related hypertensive disorder leading to multiorgan dysfunction. It has high maternal, fetal, and neonatal morbidity and mortality rates. The study of gut microbiota and its metabolites in PE deserves further exploration.

Background: With the use of immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), whether ICIs or chemotherapy is more effective still remains controversial. This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of programmed cell death 1 (PD-1), programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1), cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4 (CTLA-4) alone or in their combination vs chemotherapy in patients with advanced or metastatic NSCLC.

Methods: This meta-analysis was conducted from PubMed, Web of Science, Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Library up to March 2021 to identify relevant randomized controlled trials.

Comparison of hybrid coronary revascularization versus coronary artery bypass grafting in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease: a meta-analysis.

Background: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) are widely used in the treatment of coronary heart disease, but the best revascularization method for multivessel coronary artery disease (MVD) patients is still controversial. Hybrid coronary revascularization (HCR), together with CABG and PCI, have been proved to be feasible methods, but the long-term effect of HCR is not as clear as CABG.

Method: By October 2020, we retrieved articles from PubMed, Web of science, EMBASE and Cochrane library databases.

Purpose: While the prevalence of obesity in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients is rapidly increasing, it is unclear whether obesity affects surgical outcomes in this population. This meta-analysis aims to assess the impact of obesity/overweight on patients undergoing surgery for IBD.

Successful treatment of pulmonary injury due to nitrogen oxide exposure with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation: a report of two cases and literature review.

Severe nitrogen oxide poisoning can lead to life-threatening pulmonary injury. we report two cases of severe nitrogen-oxide-induced hypoxia treated with veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). After exposure, the conditions of both patients continued to deteriorate despite maximal mechanical ventilation with a fraction of inspired oxygen of 100%; therefore, we started veno-venous ECMO.
