Benzodiazepine-receptor agonists (BZRAs), including benzodiazepines (BZDs) and drugs related to BZDs (Z-drugs), are commonly used for anxiety, but often have side effects. We retrospectively investigated the utilization and prescription characteristics of BZRAs for patients with anxiety disorders in a large tertiary care general hospital between 2018 and 2021, based on electronic healthcare records. We also examined the pattern of simultaneous consumption of multiple BZRA drugs, and the diseases coexisting with anxiety that are associated with this.

In recent years, the use of interleukin (IL) 23 inhibitors in the treatment of psoriatic arthritis (PsA) has been the subject of much research. By specifically binding to the p19 subunit of IL-23, IL-23 inhibitors block downstream signaling pathways and inhibit inflammatory responses. The objective of this study was to assess the clinical efficacy and safety of IL-23 inhibitors in the treatment of PsA.

Serum amylase is a direct reflection of pancreatic injury. Several clinical studies have indicated that antiretroviral therapy may be the main cause of increased serum amylase in people living with human immunodeficiency virus (PLWH). However, other probable causes including direct human immunodeficiency virus infection, opportunistic infections and neoplasms, alcohol abuse, and use of illicit drugs, which can also affect pancreatic amylase levels were not considered in these studies.

Introduction: A growing number of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have demonstrated the effectiveness of interleukin (IL)-23 and IL-12/23 inhibitors in treating Crohn's disease (CD). This study evaluated the efficacy of IL-23 and IL-12/23 inhibitors in the induction phase for the treatment of CD.
Material And Methods: We searched the following databases from inception until December, 2022: Medline, Embase, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a malignancy with a poor prognosis. This study aimed to distinguish patients with HCC having distinct tumour immune microenvironment (TIME) features and construct an immune-related gene signature (IRGs) to assess prognosis and provide a basis for personalised therapies. Transcriptomic data of patients with HCC were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases.

Background: Hypoxia will trigger a series of immunosuppressive process in tumor microenvironment, leading to the progression in gastric cancer (GC). This research aims to establish a prognostic model made up of hypoxia-risk-related genes in GC.
Methods: Hypoxic genes were outlined via the protein-protein interaction network.

Background: Tumor budding, considered as an independent risk factor reflecting prognosis of some malignant tumors, has been recognized as an important clinicopathological indicator of colorectal carcinoma. However, the evaluation of tumor budding and its clinicopathological significance in gastric cancer remain controversial.
Aim: To investigate the relationship between tumor budding and clinical biological behavior of early gastric cancer (EGC) and assess the predictive value of tumor budding for lymph node metastasis as well as its impact on prognosis of EGC patients.

Objective: The individualized prediction of treatment regimens of macrolide-unresponsive pneumonia (MUMPP) is scarce. The aim of this study was, therefore, to evaluate the relevant data of patients and construct a nomogram for identifying refractory pneumonia (RMPP) among children continued to be treated with macrolide after the confirmation of MUMPP, providing a reference for the choice of treatment regimen.
Methods: We performed a retrospective study involving 162 children who continued to be treated with macrolide (azithromycin) after the confirmation of MUMPP without antibiotic changes between January 2020 and January 2022.

Many common pathogens are difficult or impossible to detect using conventional microbiological tests. However, the rapid and untargeted nature of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) appears to be a promising alternative. To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of evidence regarding the diagnostic accuracy of mNGS in patients with infectious diseases.

Despite major advances in combating pathogenic bacteria caused infection, infectious diseases remain a major cause of death today. A variety of bacteria detection approaches have been established by exploiting the aptamer to specifically identify target. However, these methods require specific equipment or laboratory based instruments, which is expensive and not easily available to the public.
