Gastrin is a gastrointestinal peptide hormone that plays an important role in the progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the molecular mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we identified gastrin-related circRNAs via high-throughput sequencing and selected circRNA_0017065 as the research focus.

Undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver in children: our experience in four difficult cases and three-dimensional practical exploration.

Aims: To explore rare and difficult cases of undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver (UESL) in children in a single centre, summarize the diagnosis and treatment experience and analyse the role of a computer-assisted surgery system (Hisense CAS), thus providing a new global vision and three-dimensional perspective.

Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data including the diagnoses and treatment processes, of children with UESL confirmed by histopathological examination in our hospital from January 2009 to December 2020. The relationship between the tumour volume and important blood vessels and between the liver volume and tumour volume, as well as other three-dimensional characteristics in the reconstructed three-dimensional model were analysed using Hisense CAS.

The notorious tumor microenvironment (TME) usually becomes more deteriorative during phototherapeutic progress that hampers the antitumor efficacy. To overcome this issue, we herein report the ameliorative and adaptive nanoparticles (TPASIC-PFH@PLGA NPs) that simultaneously reverse hypoxia TME and switch photoactivities from photothermal-dominated state to photodynamic-dominated state to maximize phototherapeutic effect. TPASIC-PFH@PLGA NPs are designed by incorporating oxygen-rich liquid perfluorohexane (PFH) into the intraparticle microenvironment to regulate the intramolecular motions of AIE photosensitizer TPASIC.

Materials And Methods: The present study retrospectively included 460 patients who underwent surgical treatment for RC at the First Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College (Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College, Wuhu, China) between September 2018 and July 2021. BFR, VFA, BMI, and VFD were measured and basic information, clinical data, complications and survival were recorded.

Background: The attentional network test (ANT) is widely used to evaluate the performance of three attentional networks: alerting, orienting and executive attention networks. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of attention functions in HIV-negative patients with early forms of neurosyphilis (NS) and their correlation with abnormalities in brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Methods: Thirty patients with early forms of NS, 31 patients with syphilis but without NS (Non-NS) and 35 healthy controls were recruited from an HIV-negative cohort between September 2020 and November 2022.

Morning spot urinary glucose and urine glucose-to-creatinine ratios (UGCRs) were assessed as markers of urinary glucose excretion.

Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in multiple English databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library, to collect relevant studies on the application of high flow nasal cannula in patients undergoing bronchoscopy, and conducted a meta-analysis utilizing RevMan 5.4 software, following the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria.
