Aims: To evaluate the clinical feasibility of single-isocentre non-coplanar volumetric modulated arc therapy (NC-VMAT) with non-coplanar cone beam computed tomography (NC-CBCT) in hypofractionated stereotactic radiotherapy (HSRT) for five or fewer multiple brain metastases.

Materials And Methods: Ten patients with multiple brain metastases who underwent single-isocentre NC-VMAT HSRT with limited couch rotations (within ±45°) and NC-CBCT with a limited scanning range (150-200°) were included in the current analysis. Conventional single-isocentre coplanar VMAT (C-VMAT) plans were generated and compared with NC-VMAT plans.

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a major microvascular complication of diabetes mellitus (DM) and is closely associated to programmed cell death. Development and validation of a model to predict acute kidney injury following wasp stings: A multicentre study.

Objective: To establish and validate a model to predict acute kidney injury (AKI) following wasp stings.

Methods: In this multicentre prospective study, 508 patients with wasp stings from July 2015 to December 2019 were randomly divided into a training set (n = 381) and a validation set (n = 127) for internal and external validation. Risk factors were identified, and a model was established to predict the probability of AKI following multiple wasp stings using an individual nomogram and a predictive formula.

Current Status of Out-of-Hospital Management of Cancer Patients and Awareness of Internet Medical Treatment: A Questionnaire Survey.

To explore the current situation of the out-of-hospital management of patients with cancer and evaluate the feasibility of Internet medical intervention outside the hospital in China. The questionnaire was designed based on the investigators' clinical experience, literature data, and the Anderson Symptom Scale, and adopted a cross sectional survey method. Totally 1,171 qualified questionnaires were analyzed.

Background: We compared the efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of MIL60 with reference bevacizumab as first-line treatment in patients with advanced or recurrent non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in this phase 3, randomized, double-blind study.

Methods: Patients with untreated advanced or recurrent NSCLC were randomized (1:1 ratio) to receive either MIL60 or bevacizumab in combination with paclitaxel/carboplatin. Patients with non-progressive disease continued maintenance single-agent MIL60 until disease progression, or intolerable toxicity.

Chronic high-dose alcohol consumption impairs bone remodeling, reduces bone mass, and increases the risk of osteoporosis and bone fracture. However, the mechanisms underlying alcohol-induced osteoporosis are yet to be elucidated. In this study, we showed that excess intake of ethyl alcohol (EtOH) resulted in osteopenia and osteoblast necroptosis in mice that led to necrotic lesions and reduced osteogenic differentiation in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMMSCs).

Background: Previous studies have demonstrated the preclinical pharmacological and toxicological consistency, and clinical pharmacokinetic equivalence of bevacizumab biosimilar LY01008 with reference bevacizumab (Avastin). This randomized controlled trial aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of LY01008 with Avastin in first-line treatment of Chinese patients with advanced or recurrent non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: Stage IIIB-IV NSCLC patients with evaluable lesions, good physical status, and adequate organ functions from 67 centers across China were randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to receive LY01008 or Avastin 15 mg/kg intravenously in combination with paclitaxel/carboplatin (combined treatment) for 4-6 cycles, followed by maintenance monotherapy with LY01008 until disease progression, intolerable toxicity, or death.

[Incidence and risk factors of anastomotic leak after transanal total mesorectal excision in China: a retrospective analysis based on national database].

Transanal total mesorectal excision (taTME) was a very hot topic in the first few years since its appearance, but now more introspections and controversies on this procedure have emerged. One of the reasons why the Norwegian Ministry of Health stopped taTME was the high incidence of postoperative anastomotic leak. In current study, the incidence and risk factors of anastomotic leak after taTME were analyzed based on the data registered in the Chinese taTME Registry Collaborative (CTRC).

Attenuation of Myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury by Geniposide preconditioning in diabetic rats.

Studies have shown that the NRF-2 /HO-1 pathway participates in myocardial ischemic reperfusion injury (MI/R) and that Geniposide (GEN) could protect the myocardial against MI/R. This study aims to examine the protective effects of GEN on MI/R in diabetic rats and further explore the possible mechanism of action. During MI/R in rats, NRF-2 /HO-1signals changed significantly including NRF-2 and HO-1up-regulation, resulting in heart dysfuction, histological damage and increasing oxidative stress and cell apoptosis.

Background: In 2018, diagnosis-related group-based prospective payment system (DRG-PPS) was implemented nationwide by China that did not fully consider the additional costs caused by healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). HAIs can increase hospitalization costs, but only a few studies have been conducted in China. We aimed to assess the additional costs caused by HAIs.

Background: Some Chinese patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinomaare often treated with single-agent concurrent chemoradiotherapy. However, no results have been reported from randomized controlled clinical trials comparing single-agent with double-agent concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Methods: The double elbows were obtained from 4 fresh adult male cadaveric specimens. Complete elbow joint (group A, =8), simple LCLC injury (group B, =4), simple anteromedial coronoid facet fracture (group C, =4), and LCLC injury combined with anteromedial coronoid facet fracture (group D, =8).
