The impact of Celiac Disease (CD) is not only limited to the intestinal system, but extraintestinal manifestations may also be seen. In this context, cardiac manifestations have recently been the focus of attention. This study aimed to evaluate myocardial repolarization properties in CD patients by assessing the frontal QRS-T Angle (fQRS-T) on electrocardiography (ECG).

Background: Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), characterized by severe irritability and temper outbursts, is a relatively new diagnosis included in the DSM-5. The study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics, temperament, comorbidities, medication use, and sleep quality of children and adolescents diagnosed with DMDD and compare them with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).

Methods: A total of 233 participants (DMDD:  = 106; MDD:  = 127) were assessed using the K-SADS-PL.

This study evaluated the relationship between dietary energy, and protein (animal and plant based) intakes and anthropometric measurements in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Individuals between the ages of 19 to 65 who received MHD treatment for more than 3 months from October 2021 to February 2022 in the state hospitals were included in the study. Body mass index (BMI) (kg/m2) was calculated for each patient, and anthropometric measurements including upper middle arm circumference, triceps skinfold thickness (TST) and hand grip strength (HGS) were carried out.

Purpose: Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor (SGLT-2i) administration is associated with some concerns in regard to the increased risk of genital and urinary tract infections (UTI) in kidney transplant recipients (KTR). In this study, we present the results of SGLT-2i use in KTR, including the early post-transplant period.

Methods: Participants were divided into two groups: SGLT-2i-free diabetic KTR (Group 1, n = 21) and diabetic KTR using SGLT-2i (Group 2, n = 36).

Objective: Association of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and highly sensitive C-reactive protein in ST-elevation myocardial infarction patients was assessed in this study.

Methods: 591 consecutive patients who were hospitalized with a diagnosis of ST-elevation myocardial infarction were enrolled and assigned into tertiles according to their serum low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Differences in highly sensitive C-reactive protein among low-density lipoprotein cholesterol tertiles and correlations between highly sensitive C-reactive protein and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were assessed.

Effects of regular whey protein consumption on rat thyroid functions.

Background/aim: We aimed to investigate whether there was a significant difference in TSH, T3, T4 values and histopathologically evaluated thyroid tissues between rats that received ısole hydrolyzed whey protein (IHWP) at different doses regularly and rats fed with only standard feed.

Material & Methods: Total 24 rats were randomly divided into three groups with 8 rats in each group. First group were fed with standard feed for 12 weeks.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the association between serum D-dimer, ferritin and vitamin D levels, and dysgeusia symptoms, in patients with coronavirus disease 2019.

Methods: The present study was conducted with the medical records of 300 patients positive for coronavirus disease 2019, hospitalised between 28 March and 15 August 2020. The patients were divided into two groups regarding the presence or absence of dysgeusia symptoms.
