Systematics of prokaryotes, whose origins can be traced to the discovery of microorganisms in the 17th century, has transitioned from a phenotype-based classification to a more comprehensive polyphasic taxonomy and eventually to the current genome-based taxonomic approach. This transition aligns with a foundational shift from studies focused on phenotypic traits that have limited comparative value to those using genome sequences.

Domestic ducks () are resistant to most of the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus (HPAIV) infections. In this study, we characterized the lung proteome and phosphoproteome of ducks infected with the HPAI H5N1 virus (A/duck/India/02CA10/2011/Agartala) at 12 h, 48 h, and 5 days post-infection. A total of 2082 proteins were differentially expressed and 320 phosphorylation sites mapping to 199 phosphopeptides, corresponding to 129 proteins were identified.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a global health concern. To facilitate improved management of GCs, protein biomarkers have been identified through mass spectrometry-based proteomics platforms. This review highlights the development and use of ROS-dependent prodrug-based nanoscale carriers that has transformed many biomedical applications. Incorporating prodrugs into nanoscale carriers not only improves their stability and solubility but also enables site-specific drug delivery ultimately enhancing the therapeutic effectiveness of the nanoscale carriers.

Statement Of Problem: Quaternary ammonium (QA)-based monomers such as dimethyl-hexadecyl-methacryloxyethyl-ammonium iodide (DHMAI) and 2-dimethyl-2-dodecyl-1-methacryloxyethyl ammonium iodine (DDMAI) have been investigated as copolymerizable monomers to impart antimicrobial activity to dental restorative and prosthetic materials. However, the biocompatibility of these antimicrobial monomers needs to be investigated in vivo before their clinical use.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the in vivo biocompatibility of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) heat-polymerizing denture base resin copolymerized with varying concentrations of DHMAI and DDMAI.

Background: Cleft lip and palate (CLP) are among the most common congenital anomaly that affects up to 33,000 newborns in India every year. Genomes of Halomonas species have been studied using the BV-BRC Bioinformatics tool for the presence of CDS, non-CDS, AMR genes, VF genes, transporters, drug targets, GC content, and GC skew from outside to the center of the circular view, followed by phylogenetic analysis of unique 1, 4, 5, 6-Tetrahydro-2-methyl-4-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid (THMP) gene clusters for relatedness within the genus Halomonas. Protein structure and chemical structure of 1, 4, 5, 6-Tetrahydro-2-methyl-4-pyrimidinecarboxylic acid (THMP) encoded by the UspA gene in Halomonas strains and amino acid sequence of the novel UspA gene have been predicted by computational method.
