Cadmium (Cd), one of the toxic heavy metals, is of great importance for public health due to its use in many industrial areas. Propolis is a natural product with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties collected from plants by honey bees. The aim of this study was to investigate the protective role of propolis against the potential toxic effects of cadmium chloride in blood, liver and kidney tissues.

The efficacy of MitoTEMPO, a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant, in altering nerve fiber conduction properties within the sciatic nerve of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats, a model for diabetic neuropathy characterized by myelinated fiber atrophy and nodal abnormalities. Utilizing the STZ-induced diabetic rat model, we assessed the impact of MitoTEMPO on nerve function through compound action potential (CAP) analysis and histological evaluation. Key indicators such as maximum depolarization (MD), CAP area, and conduction velocity distribution (CVD) were measured to gauge MitoTEMPO's neuroprotective effects, alongside physical parameters like weight and blood glucose levels.

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are crucial components of the innate immune system in all living organisms, playing a vital role in the body's defense against diseases and infections. The immune system's primary functions include preventing disease-causing agents from entering the body and eliminating them without causing harm. These peptides exhibit broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and cancer cells.

Objective: Successful embryo implantation is contingent upon the intricate interaction between the endometrium and the blastocyst. Recurrent implantation failure (RIF) signifies the clinical challenge of failing pregnancy post-transfer of high-quality embryos, fresh or frozen, in at least three in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles, often in women under 40 years. Recent studies identify impaired blastocyst maternal tissue communication among recurrent implantation failure causes.

Pistacia khinjuk, a dioecious plant native to Southeast Anatolia, Turkey, features distinct male and female individuals with varying bioactive compound profiles. This study investigates the gender-specific phytochemical composition of root extracts from male and female Pistacia khinjuk plants and their influence on the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles. Using natural bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, and terpenoids as reducing and stabilizing agents, the study demonstrates significant differences between the nanoparticles synthesized from male and female root extracts.

Nowadays, the use of monoclonal antibodies to target angiogenic signalling pathways is common, but, unfortunately, the clinical activity of these agents is limited. Thus, the development of approaches targeting multiple pathways for anti-angiogenic effect will lead to increase the clinical benefit. For this purpose, oleuropein, hesperidin, piperine, proanthocyanidins and retinoic acid, which have previously been proven to be bioactive components, anti-angiogenic performances were experimentally tested in retinal pigment epithelial cells.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the radiobiological effects underlying the inhibition of breast cancer (BCa) following radiotherapy in nude mice models, and to evaluate the impact of changes in immunohistochemical parameters induced by FF and FFF beams.
Materials And Methods: The study included thirty-six adult nude mouse models, which were randomly assigned to five groups: control (G1), breast cancer (BCa) (G2), FF-400 MU/min (G3), FFF-1100 MU/min (G4), and FFF-1800 MU/min (G5). The control group received neither radiation nor treatment, while the BCa group had a cancer model without radiation.

Measles, rubella, mumps and chickenpox infections are among the childhood diseases that can be prevented by vaccination. Healthcare workers are at greater risk of diseases transmitted through contact with patients' respiratory secretions, infected blood and body fluids. Students studying in the field of health are at the risk of encountering infectious diseases as much as healthcare personnel during their internship and practice experience in healthcare institutions during their education.

Introduction: Motor Imagery (MI) Electroencephalography (EEG) signals are non-stationary and dynamic physiological signals which have low signal-to-noise ratio. Hence, it is difficult to achieve high classification accuracy. Although various machine learning methods have already proven useful to that effect, the use of many features and ineffective EEG channels often leads to a complex structure of classifier algorithms.
